More than 40,000 people are now saying they plan to storm the Bermuda triangle. A Facebook user created an event titled “Storm the Bermuda Triangle, It Can’t Swallow Us All,” and it’s quickly gone viral. It comes following the “Storm Area 51” event, which more than 1.6 million Facebook users have expressed interest in attending. But while plans for the Area 51 event have been revealed to be a joke, the creator of the Bermuda triangle event says he’s serious. A GoFundMe has been set up to help fund the event, which is scheduled for October 1st.

COUNTRY MUSIC NOTE

2003 Referring to Dixie Chick Natalie Maines comment about United States President George W. Bush and the situation in Iraq: Merle Haggard, who had released a song critical of US media coverage of the Iraq War, issued a press statement saying: “I don’t even know the Dixie Chicks, but I find it an insult for all the men and women who fought and died in past wars when almost the majority of America jumped down their throats for voicing an opinion. It was like a verbal witch-hunt and lynching”

TODAY’S GOOD NEWS

A Minnesota toddler has been found after he took a joyride on his battery-powered John Deere tractor to the county fair.

The 2.5-year old wanted to go back to the county fair, and drove from his home to the fair without telling his parents, Chisago County Sheriff Sgt. Jason Foster said. Dispatchers got a call that the toddler was missing and found him safe minutes later in the middle of the fairground.

The boy’s family said their home was about a block and a half from the fairgrounds and he had seen the rides being set up during the previous days.

Foster said the child drove the tractor down the sidewalk, through a back gate and navigated through a heavy crowd there for motocross races before he arrived at the Tilt-a-Whirl, which he wanted to ride. However, before he got on the ride, State Rep. Brian Johnson, a former Islanti County deputy, saw him and determined the boy was alone.

Johnson flagged down a deputy, who helped reunite the boy with his father. The father suspended his son’s driving privileges by pulling out the tractor’s battery.

  1. A cup of coffee.  It’s the #1 thing we need to get our day off to a good start.

  1. A morning shower.

HAVE LOVE, WILL TRAVEL?
How far would you be willing to go for love? The moving company “Hire a Helper” polled 1,000 Americans and found that about two-thirds of online daters would travel no more than 30 miles to meet a potential partner.

Among millennials, 49 per cent set their limit at just 20 miles or less. 35% of respondents said they wouldn’t be willing to go outside their city in their search for love, and about 29% set their limit to within their home state.

Among the more adventurous, just 9 per cent said that distance wasn’t a consideration at all.

And perhaps surprisingly, men were more likely than women to say they would only consider matches within the general vicinity of where they live, by a margin of 43 to 37%.

RASCAL FLATTS CONSIDER EXTENDING VEGAS RESIDENCY

Rascal Flatts already have two Las Vegas residencies under their belt and they’re considering a third. The group would likely be up for a longer stay in Sin City, too, as Gary LeVox tells us: [“Yeah, we’ve actually talked about it, and it’s tough because the people that have residencies out there, like our residency, they don’t tour the West Coast, so you can only see them in Vegas. So with us, we just so live for live performance and being in front of our fans and stuff, so we always tour the West coast.  So it’s kind of difficult for us, but we love it and that’s definitely something in the future that we’re … we’re talking about going back in February.  The Venetian’s been great and we love it there, and it’s nice to set up and just play.  And hopefully we’ll lengthen that out later on down the road.”]

For now, fans can see Rascal Flatts performing their latest single, “Back to Life,” as well as their other hits, all over the country on their Summer Playlist Tour.

DAN + SHAY’S LATEST HIT STARTED OUT SOUNDING NOTHING LIKE IT DOES TODAY

Dan + Shay‘s latest hit, “All To Myself,” is a far cry from the song the duo co-wrote with Jordan Reynolds and Nicolle Galyon, the same two with whom they co-wrote their crossover hit “Tequila.” Shay Mooney tells us that the version on the album and on radio is quite different thanks to Dan Smyers‘ production. [“The version that we demoed out was actually much different than the record version. I remember being in Mexico and Dan was talking to me about the production of ‘All To Myself’ and how he was imagining this new production on it and he was playing it on acoustic and saying, ‘I kind of want this to be how it is.’ If you heard the demo it was just so different. I was like, ‘Man, I hope that’s cool. I don’t know. You’re the one that has such a great imagination on that stuff,’ so he put that together and just crushed it and really completely changed the song for me. It just completely changed everything.”]
