A NASA astronaut is being accused of illegally accessing her estranged wife’s bank account from the International Space Station during a recent mission.  That would be identity theft, and just might be the first crime ever committed in space.  The astronaut is denying the claims.  Her ex-wife says her bank verified that she accessed her account.

Accuweather has released their Fall forecast and they’re saying that shorts and short-sleeve shirts will continue to be needed for many across eastern Canada early this fall as summer warmth and humidity linger across the region.

“Fall will get off to a late start around the Great Lakes and into Quebec as the main storm track allows for surges of late-summer season warmth and humidity,”.

“This pattern may delay the annual first freeze by a week or two from southern Ontario to southern Quebec and the Maritimes”. The first chill of the season is predicted to arrive during October as Arctic air starts to penetrate farther south.

EDDIE MURPHY will host “Saturday Night Live” this season . . . for the first time in 35 years.  Eddie only hosted once, back in 1984, several months after he left the show.  He never went back until the 40th anniversary show in 2015. He first appeared on “SNL” in 1980, and gained a reputation as the man who saved the show.  Here’s a montage of some of his classic “SNL” bits, before leaving in 1984.

Eddie is one of five hosts announced yesterday.  Woody Harrelson kicks off the season on September 28th.

Walking Through a Park With Lots of Trees Makes You as Happy as Christmas Morning?

If you want to capture the incredible feeling of Christmas, apparently it’s easy:  Just go for a walk in a park.  No, really.

According to a study out of the University of Vermont, when people go for a walk in a park that has a lot of trees, it makes them SO much happier, that their mood gets up to the same level it does on Christmas morning.

The researchers say it shows that spending time in nature is really great for our wellbeing.  Quote, “We’re seeing more and more evidence that it’s central to promoting mental health.”

Having Kids Makes You Happier . . . Once They Eventually Move Out

According to the study, people who have children are happier than people who don’t . . . eventually.  The happiness only really kicks in once the kids grow up and MOVE OUT.

The researchers say people whose adult children move out like having that social support and their kids around to take care of them . . . but they like getting that without the stress of having those kids living under their roof.

The study also found that having your adult children living with you actually has a negative effect on your wellbeing.

GOOD NEWS

Get the tissues ready, because this is a good one:  There’s a 71-year-old guy in Scotland named

Bill Duncan who was diagnosed with dementia in 2011.  And he’s gone downhill since then.

Most of his memories have faded over the past few years.  And in the last 12 months, he’s forgotten his whole history with his wife, Anne.

He didn’t remember they were married.  But he still liked being with her a lot, and thought she was really pretty.

So a few weeks ago, he asked if she’d MARRY him.

Anne says he started to get “very amorous” with her, and kept telling her how much he liked her.  So she agreed.

Their friends and family loved the idea, and they had their wedding in the backyard.  They even danced to the same song they danced to the first time.

Anne says they have good days and bad days now.  But despite it all, he’s still the same man she fell in love with.

Four Reasons Why You . . . or Your Kids . . . Don’t Like Vegetables

If you or your kids HATE eating vegetables, here are four reasons why and what you can do about it . . .

  1. Hating vegetables can be genetic.  About a quarter of people might have something called “supertaster” genes, which means they have more taste buds and experience stronger tastes, especially for bitter foods.  And they tend to be picky eaters and don’t like many vegetables, like broccoli and Brussels sprouts.

  1. You could have a subconscious aversion to them.  Psychological factors can influence what foods you like and dislike.  So if you were forced to eat broccoli as a kid, you may have a negative association with it and not eat it as an adult.

  1. Your kids are more likely to eat vegetables if you do.  If YOU hate vegetables, your kids are more likely to hate them too.  But research shows that making veggies for a meal every day makes us more likely to eat them.

  1. You can train yourself to eat more vegetables.  Research shows people ate more vegetables when they were labeled with descriptions that didn’t mention health.  So when green beans were described as “sweet sizzlin’ green beans,” 25% more people ate them.  In other words, you CAN fake out your brain.

World’s Sexiest Accent Has Been Revealed

According to a survey of 5,000 people, the sexiest accent in the world is none other than Irish.

High-profile stars such as Colin Farrell have helped bring the accent more to the foreground.

Two years ago, polling website Ranker also found that the sexiest accent in the world was the Irish accent, so clearly there’s just something about it that makes people swoon.

The second sexiest accent was voted to be Italian, which makes sense considering the fact that it’s a Romance language…and because gorgeous actresses like Monica Bellucci and Sophia Loren are Italian.

Interestingly, Scottish took third place, followed by French in fourth and Australian in fifth.

NEW REPORT FINDS 100% JUICE HELPS IMPROVE CHILDREN’S DIET QUALITY

Go ahead and give your kid some juice with breakfast, just make sure it’s 100 percent fruit juice.

A new study finds recent claims that drinking juice is linked to childhood obesity are incorrect.

Pediatrician Dr. Robert Murray says, “Juice has recently been case in a negative light without scientific evidence to support these claims.

This report encourages parents and other consumers to look at a child’s total diet before judging foods or beverages as ‘good’ or ‘bad.’

Foods should be judged not on individual attributes such as fat or sugar but on their contributions to the diet as a whole.”

THOMAS RHETT IS ‘COMPLETELY SICK OF’ SOME OF HIS DAUGHTERS’ FAVORITE SONGS

Thomas Rhett is a hands-on dad, typically spending most of his time off the road with his wife, Lauren, and their two toddler daughters, Willa Gray and Ada James. If you keep up with Thomas’ social media accounts, then you know a favorite activity of the girls’ is watching their favorite animated movies.

Thomas tells us he’s watched countless viewings of certain films whose music he’d be happy to never hear again. [“In my house, between Coco and Frozen, I am completely sick of ‘Let It Go’ and Frozen. And then this song called ‘Remember Me’ that’s in Coco that we literally watch every single day, and now has drifted to The Little Mermaid, so I would say that those three songs, if I never heard them again, I would not be upset.”]

Thomas’ Very Hot Summer Tour revs back up on September 5th in Sioux Falls, SD.

He’s currently racing up the charts with “Remember You Young,” which was inspired by his daughters.

MATT STELL DID HIS RESEARCH BEFORE TONIGHT’S ‘BACHELOR IN PARADISE’ APPEARANCE

Matt Stell will perform his Top 15 and rising single “Prayed For You” during tonight’s (Tuesday, August 27th) episode of ABC’s reality series, Bachelor in Paradise. The episode airs at 8 p.m. ET.

While Matt admits he is not a reality TV watcher, he tells us exclusively that he did a bit of homework before taping the show. [“I’ll be just a hundred percent honest — I’ve been on The Bachelor longer than I’ve ever watched it from just that experience (laughs), however, I have friends in my life who watch it like I watch sports, you know, so I got me a little scouting report and I went and talked to some people that watched it and I went and watched a little film to try to understand the ins and outs of this. It was really fun to see this huge phenomenon and be part of this thing that was so big. I was really fortunate to be able to do that.”]

Matt will join Chris Young on his Raised On Country Tour beginning in September.

His debut single, “Prayed For You,” is a Top 15 hit and climbing on the country charts.
