A fight over a beach towel at a Sacramento, California water park escalated when one family got mad at another family for using foul language in front of their kids.  40 people ended up involved, leaving a man unconscious and without a pulse. He was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.  Alcohol was involved.  They closed the park for the day.

Have you ever had to pick up something for your partner and been confused about it? A woman from Scotland posted on Twitter about how she asked her boyfriend to pick up tampons for her. It shows their text conversation, in which he sends her a photo of two packs of tampons, one with blue and yellow packaging, and the other with blue and green packaging. He writes, “Do you want lemon or lime?” The tweet has since gone viral. One person commented on it, writing, “Showed my boyfriend this and he says, ‘wait, are there really different flavors?!'”

Remember when KELLY CLARKSON’s appendix burst on LIVE TV, while she was hosting the “Billboard Music Awards” in May?

You didn’t know it at the time, because she sucked it up, finished the gig, and got her appendix out AFTER the show.

In a recent interview, Kelly Clarkson said that a week after she hosted the “Billboard Music Awards” with a burst appendix, she was doing a live episode of “The Voice” when an ovarian cyst burst.

GOOD NEWS

99-year-old Catherine Kyle lives in Pittsburgh, and she’s been a lifelong Pirates fan.  Which takes commitment.  They haven’t won a World Series in 40 years, and they’ve only made the playoffs a handful of times since then.

So for her birthday, her family took her to her VERY FIRST GAME this past weekend.

She used to watch a lot on TV with her late husband.  But apparently she’d never been to a game at PNC Park . . . or Three Rivers Stadium, where they played until 2001 . . . OR Forbes Field, where they played from 1909 to 1970.

She went on Saturday with 16 family members, including her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Before the game, she said the part she was looking forward to most was singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” for the seventh-inning stretch.

The Pirates haven’t had a great season again this year.  They’re last in their division right now.  But they came up big for Catherine on Saturday and CRUSHED the Cincinnati Reds, 14 to nothing.

Think You Can Stay Sane On a 20-Hour Flight? This Airline Is Testing the Long-Haul Endurance Challenge

Qantas Airways will run marathon ghost flights from New York and London to Sydney carrying just a few staff to see how the human body holds up before commercial services start.

The payload of 40 passengers and crew, most of them employees, will then undergo a host of medical checks and assessments.

The Australian airline wants to start direct flights connecting Sydney to New York and London as soon as 2022. The services, which take about 20 hours, aren’t yet a sure thing. Qantas still hasn’t decided on a Boeing or Airbus SE plane that can fly the route fully laden and without a break.

And it’s not clear how passengers will tolerate living in the cabin for the best part of a day and night. “

The things we learn on these flights will be invaluable,” CEO Alan Joyce said on a call Thursday.

BUY CANADIAN:
Although it would seem that U.S. President Donald Trump’s effort to buy Greenland has been thwarted, an American politics professor is suggesting an even better purchase: Canada.

Daniel Drezner, a professor at the Tufts School of Law and Diplomacy in Massachusetts, wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post arguing that Canada is a much better investment. Why?

According to him, all of the reasons given to justify purchasing Greenland also make sense when it comes to the Great White North, only moreso.

Those include Canada’s “strategic value” when it comes to northern shipping lanes and its abundant natural resources. Drezner proposes a purchase price of $20 trillion for Canada, half of which would go to the Crown (Queen of England). Included in the sale would be the following terms:

  • A one-for-one exchange of the loonie for the greenback (dollars at par).
  • Each of the 13 Canadian provinces and territories would be admitted as a state in the union, with representation in the House and the Senate.
  • At the same time, D.C. and Puerto Rico would also attain statehood, bringing the United States to 65 states in total.

One more thing: Drezner’s editorial was written tongue-in-cheek.

JASON ALDEAN CHARTS 23RD NUMBER ONE HIT

Jason Aldean claimed his 23rd #1 with “Rearview Town,” the title track of his latest album.

Despite his incredible success over the last decade-plus, Jason feels like it was practically yesterday that he was struggling to make it as an artist in Nashville. At one point, he thought about giving it all up and taking a regular job so he could provide for his family at the time.: [“There was a point where I was gonna move back to Georgia and go to work with my cousin and just try and reassess some things and figure it out, and I think for me what sort of still motivates me is that. I mean, like I’ve been poor. It’s not fun. (laughs) Like, it’s not fun at all, and it wasn’t that long ago in the grand scheme of things, so . . . “]

FAST FACTS

Jason will make his return to Las Vegas from December 6-8 for Jason Aldean: Ride All Night Vegas at Park Theater at Park MGM.
