On Today’s Show
September 11, 2019 9:35 amIf I could do cartoon character voices, I’d follow this guy’s lead. His wife filmed him pranking a telemarketer by using his Donald Duck voice.
When the telemarketer tells him he’s being contacted about “litigation” he goes full Donald and says, “Oh no. Am I in trouble?” The telemarketer finally figures it out and hangs up.

Drivers in Ontario no longer have to carry their automobile insurance papers with them…as long as they have proof of insurance on their smartphone.
The change took effect last week, giving drivers the option to carry a “digital pink card” supplied by their insurance company rather than the traditional printed version. The electronic cards have safeguards built in so they can’t be edited or altered.
Insurers will continue to issue paper versions of the pink cards for one year to ensure a smooth transition, and motorists switching to the digital version must ensure that they can properly display the electronic pink cards on their smartphones at all times. Some other Canadian provinces and many U.S. states already offer the option.

ENTERTAINMENT
Ryan Seacrest was invited to have dinner with the Kasdashian/Jenners. But, after eating a lot earlier in the day he had to use the bathroom by the time he got there. He said they had one of those “robot toilets” with all the buttons and options.” He chose an option when he was finished and the water began to rise. So he pressed another button trying to fix it and it rose more, then finally he chose AGAIN and the lid shut. He walked away and didn’t tell anyone.

GOOD NEWS
Today we’re remembering all the people we lost on 9/11. Including the first responders who ran into those buildings, knowing they might not make it back out. And their legacy is still with us in more ways than one . . .
The newest class of New York City firefighters is set to graduate later this month. And 13 of them are CHILDREN of firefighters who lost their lives as a result of 9/11.
They’re called “legacy” graduates. And it’s the most any one class has ever had.
In addition to those 13, there are at least three more legacy grads who are children of other first responders who died. Including the son of an NYPD officer.
The group of graduates also includes two sets of siblings. One set is a brother and sister with two brothers who are ALREADY firefighters.
If you want to know more about them, “The New York Post” did a big profile on the whole group. They’re set to graduate on September 24th.

Woman Fell Asleep in Her Car . . . When She Woke Up, It Was Gone
There’s an 80-year-old woman who lives in Hamilton, New Jersey. And on Wednesday night, she fell asleep in her car in her driveway around 9:00 P.M.
She woke up at 4:00 A.M. . . . she was on the driveway, and the car was gone.
Apparently, some thief had opened the car door, picked her up, moved her onto the driveway, and stolen the car . . . and she slept through all of it.
The woman called the cops, and even though she had a cut and a bruise on her face, she had no memory of someone stealing the car while she slept.
The cops found the car abandoned later that day . . . but they still haven’t found the thief.
EIGHT-YEAR-OLD TOOK MOM’S CAR ON 87 MPH DRIVE
Some kids have the need for speed, apparently. German police say an eight-year-old boy took his mom’s Volkswagon Golf on a joyride down the autobahn near their home in Soest. Police found him safe, with the hazard lights on at a roadside rest stop after his mom reported him missing. He told police that he “just wanted to drive a little bit” and that he started feeling “uncomfortable” once he reached 87 miles per hour, and decided to stop. His mom says the boy previously got driving experience from driving street-legal cars on private property, and driving go-carts and bumper cars. In Germany you must be 18 to drive unsupervised. No damage or injuries were reported, and police didn’t reveal if any charges were filed.
Woman in a Mercedes Broke into a Botox Clinic and Stole Anti-Aging Products
If you’re wondering how far someone will go to look young . . . this might set the bar.
A woman in a Mercedes SUV drove up to a Botox clinic in Sugar Land, Texas last Friday night . . . then pulled out a GRINDING SAW and used it to break in.
She climbed into the office, stole some ANTI-AGING PRODUCTS, and then took off.
The cops are trying to track her down.
They’ve released the surveillance video and a description: She’s 35 to 45 years old with blonde hair and a thin build. And, maybe, a totally frozen face.
A Judge Bans a Guy from Driving . . . Five Minutes Later, He Drives Away from the Courthouse
A 35-year-old guy in Orangeville, Ontario, was in court last week, and as part of his sentence for drunk driving, a judge banned him from driving for a year.
And within FIVE MINUTES . . . the guy violated the ban by driving away from the courthouse.
A cop saw the whole thing and arrested him immediately. His car was impounded and he’ll be due back in court later this month.

Apparently a Shocking Number of People Don’t Use Deodorant
Is smelling like sweaty garbage what all the cool kids are doing these days? According to a new survey, a SHOCKING number of people don’t wear deodorant or antiperspirant, especially younger people . . .
39% of people between 18 and 24 say they haven’t worn deodorant or antiperspirant in the past month.
Neither have 31% of people between 25 and 34 . . . 22% of people between 35 and 44 . . . and 16% of people over 45.
And just under HALF of people between 18 and 24 say they haven’t even BOUGHT deodorant in the past year. Neither have 37% of people between 25 and 34.
QUESTION…. What kind of deodorant do you use? (Roll-on….Spray….Stick…. Don’t wear it)

Why Arguing with Your Wife Is Futile
Women have better recall when it comes to remembering specifics, according to new research.
Females apparently have the edge when it comes to remembering features of a conversation or where missing objects might be because they fare better with episodic memory. Episodic memory is the ability to recall autobiographical events such as what happened last week or whether the cat was fed this morning. The research also indicates women are better at remembering faces and recalling sensory memories such as smells.
The research group based their findings on 617 studies that were conducted between 1973 and 2013 and included more than 1.2 million participants. But researchers say that memories come in many forms and men do actually have the advantage sometimes. For instance, a male is more likely to be able to find his way back to the car because they are good at remembering information involving spatial processing.
The researchers concluded that the cognitive differences between men and women are small but hoped that their mega-study will raise new questions about memory and gender.

BLAKE SHELTON, LUKE BRYAN, JASON ALDEAN PAY MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO EARL THOMAS CONLEY
Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, John Anderson, Joe Diffie, Wade Hayes, and Neal McCoy were among the artists who gathered at a theater inside Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum yesterday (Tuesday, September 10th) to pay tribute to the late Earl Thomas Conley.
Shelton jumped at the chance to participate in Conley’s tribute celebration of life. He told reporters he broke down minutes after Conley’s wife, Carole, broke the news to him of his hero’s death. [“I’ll never forget — I was on my four-wheeler, and I just started crying, and I got on the phone with Gwen, and I said, ‘Man, I think I’m crying, I think I’m sad because I’m afraid nobody’s going to remember Earl.’ This business can be pretty cold. That was my fear, and then with Earl not wanting a funeral it was like, man, you know, we’re not going to be able to do what we’re doing here today and so finally a few months later Carole texted me and said, ‘Hey, we’re looking at doing a memorial tribute thing for Earl,’ and instantly I said, ‘Put me down for “What I’d Say.”‘”]
Conley died on April 10th at the age of 77 from complications of dementia.
BRANTLEY GILBERT AND WIFE WELCOME BABY GIRL
Congratulations to Brantley Gilbert and wife, Amber, who welcomed their second child, daughter Braylen Hendrix Gilbert, on Monday (September 9th) in Athens, GA. She joins big brother Barrett Hardy-Clay, who is 22 months old.
Brantley knows he’s going to be an overprotective father to his daughter. [“I figure I’ve got 14, 15 good years left before prison, but right now we’re just praying for happy and healthy, and you know, all my buddies around me, a lot of them have daughters and told me, ‘Man, you’re gonna be wrapped around her finger,’ and, man, God saw fit to put her in our lives. I’m gonna be her dad and that’s gonna be my Number One priority.”]
Brantley returns to the road on Saturday (September 14th) with a show in Virginia.
His new album, Fire & Brimstone, will be released on October 4th.
THOMAS RHETT IS READY TO GIVE ACTING A SHOT
Thomas Rhett has conquered the music world and is now thinking about giving acting a shot. He tells us that entertaining people in that realm has been of interest since childhood. [“Even from a young age, me and my sister used to write little skits and my dad would film us acting out these scenes. And I’ve always loved being behind the camera, but acting, that is not a joke. I’ve done a little bit of it here and there, like in music videos, and I’ve guested on The Ranch with Ashton Kutcher on Netflix. And it’s easy to get into a room and try to pretend that you’re somebody else in a song, but when you’re trying to pretend like you’re somebody else and act it, that is a whole different ballgame. But I would love to at least take some lessons and dive into it and see what the future held.”]
In the meantime, Thomas is happy touring the world. The Very Hot Summer Tour features special guest Dustin Lynch along with Russell Dickerson and Rhett Akins. Thomas and his wife, Lauren, are expecting their third child — and third girl — sometime next year.
