On Today’s Show
September 19, 2019 9:35 amFelicity Huffman will spend two weeks behind bars in federal prison next month, but the facility she will be locked up in has some of the cushiest amenities the system has to offer. The ‘commissary list’ at FCI Dublin in California includes items like french vanilla cappuccino and bottled water. Also available are bodywash, St. Ives lotion, Oil of Olay, apricot scrub, cocoa butter cream, and even sun tan lotion. Oh, and there are cosmetics like eye liner, mascara, lipstick, bronzer and even eye lash curlers. Inmates get to watch movies on weekdays, play board games and can join fitness activities. Huffman will be assigned to the “special housing unit” which is designed to house high profile inmates like her, and others at risk to be harmed.

GOOD NEWS
There’s a guy in Bend, Oregon named Stu MacDonald who’s battled cancer TWICE. And both times, he beat it. Apparently he’s in remission now, and everything’s good.
But things got REALLY good about a week ago . . . because he just hit the lottery for $4.6 MILLION.
He and his wife have a tradition. Every time he goes to buy a ticket, she jokingly orders him to go get “the WINNING ticket.” But she forgot this time, and he won anyway.
They decided to take the lump sum of $2.3 million. So after taxes, they took home just under $1.6 million.
Stu says that after two cancer scares and now this, he knows he’s a “very lucky guy.”

BLAKE SHELTON: ‘IT SUCKS NOT HAVING ADAM LEVINE ON THE VOICE’
Season 17 of The Voice debuts on Monday (September 23rd) minus longtime coach Adam Levine, and his good friend and fellow coach Blake Shelton is a little nervous about that. [“I gotta say that it worries me not having Adam there. It’s because he’s just been there from the beginning and it would freak me out if Carson (Daly) left, you know? We were the three that have been there all along and it’s just odd, to be honest with you. The one thing that makes it better and okay is that they brought Gwen (Stefani) in, you know, and it’s not just because Gwen and I’s relationship. It’s because she’s a veteran of that show also and she’s familiar with it and gets it, and that made me feel better, you know)
The Voice airs on Monday and Tuesday (September 24th) on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. In addition to Blake and Gwen, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend will be seated in those giant red chairs this fall.
GARTH BROOKS NEYLAND STADIUM TICKETS ON SALE (AGAIN) TODAY
Ticket sales for the final 2019 stop on Garth Brooks‘ Stadium Tour stop at Neyland Stadium at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville resumes today (Thursday, September 19th) at 10 a.m. ET. They were initially halted last week after the system effectively froze in the face of volume and demand.
Garth explains: [“It’s just (that) the place is so huge! It’s pretty cool. But what happened was . . . just started opening up seats. They just all started selling really fast. And I sat in on this one because this was the largest one on this tour prob’ly. They put the controls in my hands – that was the problem right there. It kinda overwhelmed me, and all of a sudden everything just froze.”]
All tickets that were sold last Friday (September 13th) via Ticketmaster are good and will be honored at the November 16th concert, as will those that will be made available this today.
Today also happens to be a special day in the Yearwood-Brooks household — it’s Trisha‘s birthday! Garth said, “We’re going to start celebrating this week, and I think we’ll finish right before Christmas.”
