A woman was removed from a cruise ship and banned for life by the cruise company after she climbed onto her room’s balcony railing to pose for a dangerous photo shoot over the ocean.

The incident happened on board the Royal Caribbean ship Allure of the Seas as it was approaching Labadee, Haiti earlier this week. The unnamed woman was spotted by a fellow passenger, Peter Blosic, who alerted the crew. He was concerned she was going to jump.

Blosic later posted a picture of the woman wearing a blue bathing suit with hands over her head on social media. The ship’s crew later tracked down the woman and removed her when the ship docked in Falmouth, Jamaica

A tech company in the U.K. is looking for a, quote, “kind and friendly face” to use on its new line of robot ‘friends’ for old people.  And they’re letting anyone apply by uploading a photo online.  Then whoever they choose will get 130,000 dollars.

They’re being fairly secretive about it, and won’t even reveal the name of the company.

The movie “iRobot” had a whole army of bots that looked identical, with the same generic face.  And now that generic face could be YOU.

A Sanitation Worker Helps an Elderly Woman with Her Trash Bin

A video is making the rounds of a sanitation worker helping an elderly lady roll her trash bin up the driveway.

It was caught on a doorbell cam, and they’re talking like old friends.  That’s because they kind of are.

He’s been helping her every week since January.  That’s when he saw her fall while trying to roll the bin on her own.

GOOD NEWS

A first-grader in Wisconsin LITERALLY lost a tooth at school last week.  But his principal made sure he still got paid for it . . .

Curt Angeli is the principal at Gillett Elementary School, about 30 miles outside Green Bay.  And he found out a student lost a tooth at recess, but couldn’t find it.

Apparently it was already loose, and got knocked out while they were playing a game.  But no one could find it on the ground.  And the kid was worried the Tooth Fairy wouldn’t come if there wasn’t a tooth under his pillow.

So Curt sat down and wrote a LETTER to the Tooth Fairy, vouching for the kid.  Then he printed it on official school letterhead and sent it home with him.

In the letter he explained what happened, then asked the Tooth Fairy to, quote, “Please accept this letter as official verification of a lost tooth, and provide the standard monetary exchange rate you would normally use.”

He also added a joke at the end about how he’s still waiting on his OWN payout from having his wisdom teeth removed in 1987.

Someone posted the letter on Facebook, and it’s been blowing up.  And the best news is it worked.  The kid showed up at school the next day and told Curt that the Tooth Fairy came . . . and left a WHOLE DOLLAR under his pillow.

CRIME RATES AT 4% LOWER ON HIGH POLLEN DAYS

Seasonal allergies can be very annoying, but they can also be debilitating.

A study from two U.S. universities found that in 16 cities, there is an average of four percent less crime on days with high pollen counts.

In April 2019 overall crime was down 6.7 percent in New York City, compared to the same time the previous year– this was just as allergies were reaching their peak. The study shows that violent crimes like murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault were most hindered by allergies.

In other words it seems violent criminals are just as likely to want to stay indoors and avoid their terrible allergy symptoms as the rest of us are.

GET THIS POTTY STARTED:
It’s not exactly a decision with life-altering consequences, but it’s still one that we don’t take lightly. I’m talking, of course, about selecting a stall in a public restroom.

The prevailing idea is that you should avoid the middle stalls, and choose the first one. The thinking is that the first one is the least-used, so it is likely to be cleanest. An analysis of toilet paper usage in public bathrooms at least partially backed that up.

It was found that while 60 per cent of finished rolls came from the middle stalls, only 40 per cent came from those at the ends. That indicates that more people used the stalls in the middle than the first or the last.

Meanwhile, a New York Magazine survey found that when not using the middle stall, men show a preference for the stall closest to the door, while women go to the one that is furthest away.

But remember: just because it is used less frequently, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is cleaner. Sometimes that only depends on who used it last…

Houston Astros pitcher LANCE MCCULLERS JR. is giving World Series tickets to some fans who were taunted by New York Yankees fans at Game Five of the ALCS in New York last Friday.

The three fans were visiting New York, and scored tickets to the game.  They decided to wear Astros gear, which naturally made them a target.

One guy tried to start a fight, and others threw food and a beer at them.  Eventually, security came and escorted the Astros fans to other seats so they could finish watching the game.

MIDLAND’S LATEST HIT WAS END OF DAY WRITE – (10/18/2019)

Midland’s current hit single, “Mr. Lonely,” is one they wrote with their frequent collaborators, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.  The song was written at group member Cameron Duddy’s house in Dripping Springs, TX, and as Cameron tells us, it came about at the very end of the day. [“We blocked out two days together to write and I think everybody went to use the bathroom and have some lemonade, and we came back in and Jess had started vamping the chords with Josh.  And Mr. Lonely was a guy, or at least a phrase that I heard Jess use before in his old project. I don’t think it was ever written in a song but there was an album called The Real Mr. Lonely. So, I don’t know if you recycled that or what, but this thing was happening when we walked in and it happened really fast. Everybody started throwing in, and we decided on this idea, and it just went pretty quickly.”]

“Mr. Lonely” is the first release off Midland’s sophomore album, Let It Roll.

Everybody Cried After Craig Morgan’s Performance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”

CRAIG MORGAN gave an amazing, and very emotional performance of “The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost” last week on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”.

He was in tears by the end of the song . . . and so was Kelly AND her guests, Blake Shelton and Eva Mendes.  Blake and Kelly walked over and took turns giving him a hug when he was done.

In case you’re not familiar, Craig wrote it in honor of his late son, Jerry.  Well, in the interview segment he opened up about how the song came to him at 3:30 one morning.  He said God woke him up with the chorus of it in his head.

He usually goes back to sleep when that kind of thing happens, thinking he’ll write it in the morning.  But not this time.  Something told him that he needed to go finish it, so he did.  Four hours later the song was completely done.

BRETT ELDREDGE ANNOUNCES ‘GLOW LIVE’ HOLIDAY TOUR – (10/22/2019)

Brett Eldredge will hit the road on a 10-date Glow Live holiday tour beginning on December 4th and 5th at the Ryman in Nashville, TN. Along the way, he’ll stop in such major cities New York, Chicago, Louisville, Atlanta, Columbus and Boston.

Brete said, “Since I was a kid, I’ve had the Christmas music spirit running heavily through my veins. It’s my favorite thing in the world. Now taking my own Christmas tour out on the road at this huge level is a dream. I can’t wait to see everyone dressed up, relaxed and ready to sing the Christmas classics with me!”

The Glow Live shows will feature seasonal selections from Glow as well as other holiday hits set to a big band sound. Brett tells us: [“I love Big Band music. I grew up singing jazz music, which a lot of people don’t know, but I was singing Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and Bobby Darren and all these different singers — Bing Crosby. I was singing these Christmas songs as a kid, so I think that a lot of the classic Christmas songs are done in that way and I just love that kind of music, and if I had one way to make a Christmas record it would be more swing and smooth, sexy kind of way and I think that’s exactly what Glow is.”]

Tickets to the Glow Live holiday tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday (October 25th) at 10 a.m. local time online at bretteldredge.com.

Brett is currently working on his next studio project.
