On Today’s Show

An argument over who got to ride shotgun ended with two people being arrested the other day.  A 27-year-old guy in Pennsylvania went to pick his sister up, and his girlfriend was in the passenger’s seat.  The sister wanted to sit there, and someone who saw them fighting in the car called the cops.  The first officer who showed up ended up in a physical altercation with the brother.  Then while he was cuffing him, the sister attacked.  The cop told a reporter it was crazy for them to fight over something they could have solved with a coin flip.

ENTERTAINMENT

Celine Dion said she originally didn’t want to record “My Heart Will Go On” because “it didn’t appeal to her.”  But, her husband pushed her to try and she recorded a demo.  That was the only recording she did and they made the orchestra and music work around it.  (From “Watch What Happens Live”

Wilmer Valderrama says the “That ’70s Show” cast have discussed a movie reunion. He played ‘Fez’ on the hit sitcom alongside Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Danny Masterson and Topher Grace, and has confirmed he and his former cast mates are ”up for it” when it comes to bringing the show to the big screen. Quote: ”There is nothing in the works right now, and I believe all of us are a little too busy right now to make it happen.”

A Funny Sketch About “What Are Men Really Thinking”

There’s a satirical news show from England called “The Mash Report”, and one of their sketches from last year has been making the rounds.

It’s about a man who ruined his weekend away with his girlfriend, by saying what he was really thinking.

A “reporter” interviews the couple, and the woman says when she asked her boyfriend what he was thinking, she expected to hear something tender or romantic.

Then the reporter asks the guy what his answer was, and he says he was thinking, “Pigs are much bigger than you expect.”

GOOD NEWS

A bunch of random New Yorkers boarded an L-train to Brooklyn the other day.  And someone had set up a long table with a FULL THANKSGIVING DINNER for them.

They served everything you’d expect.  Turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, mac and cheese, cornbread, and more.

Anyone who wanted to eat was allowed to.  But they all stopped to say Grace first.

Apparently there were a few MTA workers on the train who could have shut the whole thing down, but didn’t.  And there are a bunch of videos of people filling plates.

Turns out an up-and-coming stand-up comedian named Jodell Lewis was behind it.

He told the “New York Post” he was riding the L-train a while back, and noticed how stressed everyone was because of construction that’s been slowing things up.

He says it took several months of planning to pull it off, and he hopes it brightened a few people’s day.  Plus, he wanted to show out-of-towners that, quote, “New York has a heart.”

ANIMAL NEWS
➢This is an unexpected grouping, but residents of a Kansas neighborhood were baffled after spotting a cow, a camel, and a donkey walking together on Sunday (November 17th.)

Local police posted about the animals on Facebook, writing, “Does anyone know the owners of these three friends traveling together (towards a Northern star) If we cannot locate the owner, we may be halfway to a live nativity this Christmas season.”

Police were later able to find the owner and return the animals home.

➢ A cat has been locked in solitary confinement for consistently letting other cats out of their enclosures at his shelter. Quilty the cat was caught letting other kitties out of the senior room “repeatedly, several times a day” by staff at the Friends For Life Animal Rescue and Adoption Organization shelter.

And apparently, the feline is a serial offender, as employees at the Houston shelter have learned that he used to let the dog at his old home into the house. When it emerged that Quilty had been locked up for letting his fellow four-legged pals run free, the online campaign #FreeQuilty was launched. But the shelter has since revealed that his review with the parole board had failed, because Quilty had “released himself” anyway.

The trio were honored to be asked to participate, as Charles Kelley explains: [“We’ve been doing this now 13 years and we feel like we’re starting to get in those kind of worlds where it’s kind of cool to be one of those artists that’s asked to be part of really cool artistic events that honor like, great artists.  It’s really humbling, and Dolly is, she is one of the best songwriters of all time and such a chameleon and has been in so many different facets of the business that, from an entrepreneurial standpoint too, I mean she’s just the quintessential woman boss of our genre. She really is.  She kind of set the bar high for everybody.”]

But yeah, I mean, I think it’s just about we eat. I eat a lot every year on Thanksgiving. [laughs] I never skip THAT tradition. But yeah, that’s the gist of it, and I’m kind of lucky. I get two Thanksgivings, because I also get to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with my husband’s family, so if I don’t hit one, I’ll definitely be able to get the other one.]
