December 3, 2019 9:35 amPolice are warning citizens of a new phone scam which involves suspects using “line-trapping” technology to tap into victims’ phone lines in order to steal personal information.
Police say the victim received a call from a scammer advising her that she had been the victim of identity theft. The victim was directed to Google York Regional Police and to call to confirm her information.
The victim did this and believed she had spoken to an officer, however, through the investigation police have determined that suspects utilized a line-trapping technology to remain connected to her phone line,” read the media release. According to police, scammers stole both money and personal information from the victim.
Police are saying this particular kind of so-called “line-trapping” technology is a new addition to the usual phone scams reported to them.
Evidence suggests that the line-trapping technology being utilized has a time limit of several minutes.

GOOD NEWS
A 57-year-old woman in central Virginia crashed her car around 4:00 A.M. on Friday, and it caught fire.
But luckily, two cops showed up just in time. And one of their chest-cams got it all on video. Officers Dalton Foley and Olivia Martin got there and saw the back of the car was on fire. So they ran over to see if anyone was still inside.
The driver was unconscious and still buckled in. So one of them used a knife to cut her seatbelt. Then they both pulled her out . . . started dragging her away . . . and made sure no one else was in there.
The whole thing only took about a minute, and that’s all the time they had. At the end of the video, they look up, and the whole car is engulfed.
The woman they saved was airlifted to a hospital in serious but stable condition.

CHOCOLATE: IS THERE ANYTHING IT CAN’T DO?
Good news for people who love chocolate. And by people who love chocolate, I mean everyone.
According to a new report, chocolate is every bit as effective in soothing a cough as codeine or any other pharmaceutical solution. Professor Alyn Morice, a respected authority on all things related to coughs and medicine, wrote in the Daily Mail that chocolate can soothe a cough better than codeine syrup by forming a sticky coating that protects the nerve endings in your throat that cause you to cough.
Melted chocolate also allows cough-supressing ingredients naturally present in cocoa to help calm your throat nerves. But here’s the weird thing: Drinking hot chocolate doesn’t have the same cough supressing effect, because the diluted chocolate solution doesn’t stay in contact long enough with the nerves in your throat.
You’re much better off sucking on a piece of chocolate, and letting it slowly melt, and coat your throat.

Brad Paisley’s New Song Features a St. Jude’s Cancer Survivor
Tonight’s “Brad Paisley Thinks He’s Special” will showcase a talented singer you’ve never heard of. Her name is ADDIE PRATT and she’s a St. Jude’s cancer survivor. She and Brad do a song called “Alive Right Now”.
He chose her because he wanted to “shine a light on something good” in the special. And he got a bonus because she knocked it out of the park.
He says, quote, “It’s one of the highlights of not only the night, but of my entire career. She did so great on this performance that we had her come in the studio and record it for the record.
“You’ll hear this [song] on the radio, and you might think it’s a top new female vocalist in country music.”
Back to tonight’s special. You’ve probably heard about all the stars. It features Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini, Darius Rucker, Peyton Manning, Chris Harrison, Hootie & The Blowfish, and the Jonas Brothers.
Brad was telling “People” how the Jonas Brothers are the “best sports” when it comes to comedy. There’s even a bit in tonight’s show that pokes serious fun at NICK JONAS.
CHRIS YOUNG CHANGES UP HIS SOUND FOR ‘CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS’
Chris Young loves all kinds of music, and with his song choice on tonight’s (Tuesday, Dec. 3rd) CMA Country Christmas special, he pays homage to a combination of genres with “The Christmas Song.” He tells us: [“I love it! I mean, just studying jazz as well as country coming up and classical music and everything, there’s a lot of songs that you end up cutting or singing during the Christmas season that are not just one four five, so to speak. There’s a lot of like passing chords and interesting melodies and, to me, ‘The Christmas Song’ was always one of my favorites because of that, and it’s fun for me to sing.”]
CMA Country Christmas airs on ABC beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
The show, which is hosted by Trisha Yearwood, also features performances by Tori Kelly, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Kristin Chenoweth, for KING & COUNTRY, Chris Janson, Rascal Flatts, Runaway June, CeCe Winans, Brett Young and Trisha.

Dustin Lynch Met His Girlfriend by Sliding Into Her DMs
DUSTIN LYNCH was talking about how he met his girlfriend. Yes, the very lovely lady he took to the CMAs. Her name is KELLI SEYMOUR, she’s a model from California . . . and HE’s the one who made the first move.
He says, quote, “I slid into her DMs on Instagram.” It worked because they started texting and video-chatting. The next step happened when she went to one of his shows in California. Even then he was still testing the waters.
Quote, “If she would’ve ended up being a whack-job or a weirdo I could’ve been like: ‘Have a nice night. Enjoy the show. Bye.'” That clearly wasn’t the case.
Quote, “We ended up hitting it off and keeping in touch and seeing each other. It’s been great. We’re able to make it work and not be away from each other for too long.”
She even made his CMA experience better. Quote, “We had a blast, we really did. Getting fancy and dressing up, for me, is rare . . . ‘course we go out hard for the carpet. We had a lot of fun.”
