Back in 2009, a woman in Quebec fined $100 for not holding the handrail on a subway escalator.  She fought it.  And now a decade later, she just won $20,000 in a Supreme Court case.  She says she spent more than that in legal bills, but it was worth it.

FOOT DOCTOR:
Nike has created a new shoe for “everyday heroes” like doctors, nurses and home health aides. Nike Air Zoom Pulse is an athletic shoe designed for those in the medical profession.

The company says in designing the shoe, they went sent a team to a Portland, OR hospital, and observed the challenges of those on the job– including long hours on their feet and liquid spills — and the comfort needed for long shifts. The shoe is designed like a clog, which is popular among medical workers, but is more athletic in appearance and performance.

It has a rubber outsole that provides traction even when liquid or water is present, and is said to be easy to put on with one hand.

SOUNDS APEELING:
Yes, bananas are good for you. But, as it turns out, so is the PEEL.

Top dietician Susie Burrell says that eating banana skins can improve your sleep, enhance your skin and even boost weight loss. She says that if you can manage to get them down, you’ll up your fibre content by at least 10%, you’ll get almost 20% more vitamin B6, and about 20% more vitamin C.

You’ll also boost your potassium and magnesium intake. But please note, she is NOT suggesting that you just start chewing on the peel once you’ve finished eating the inside.

She suggests putting it in a smoothie, baked goods or a curry to boost your nutritional intake.

JASON ALDEAN RETURNS TO VEGAS FOR FIRST SHOWS SINCE ROUTE 91 TRAGEDY – (12/05/2019)

Jason Aldean heads to Las Vegas this weekend for three back-to-back shows at Park Theatre at Park MGM. This marks the superstar’s first full headlining shows in Sin City since the tragic Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting in 2017.

Fans have been anxious for Jason to return to Vegas to play a full show, but as he tells us, he wasn’t in a rush. [“We always wanted to go back and do that when we felt like the timing was right, and we had an opportunity to go back out and not do one show but do three, do it in a smaller setting. There’s gonna be a lot of people at that show that were at Route 91 and some of those people may not have been to a show then, you know what I mean, so the smaller the venue I feel like it kind of maybe makes them a little bit more at ease, it’s a little bit more intimate. I don’t know, just to me it felt like the right setting, the right time to go back and do that.”]

Jason Aldean: Ride All Night Vegas begins on Friday (Dec. 6th).

LUKE BRYAN’S SON IS GRATEFUL FOR DAD: ‘I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE LUKE BRYAN!’ –

Luke Bryan‘s two sons finally understand that their dad is a celebrity, and with that comes some perks. Luke tells us about a recent pivotal moment when his nine-year-old son Tate made the connection. [“They get what dad is now. The cutest thing happened. I was playing in Hershey, at Hershey Park and we get the fast passes or whatever. Tate’s just bouncing off the walls and he got on one roller coaster and he says, ‘Oh my God, Dad, I’m so glad you’re Luke Bryan. I’m so glad you’re Luke Bryan,’ cause he understands that we’re getting the fast passes, so . . . And then we sent them somewhere on a trip without old Dad to get ’em there and, yeah, they don’t want to do that no more. They want old Dad there.”]

Luke is inside the Top 20 and climbing with “What She Wants Tonight,” which will be included on his upcoming studio album.

FAST FACTS

Luke will host his annual Crash My Playa event in Cancun, Mexico next month with special guests Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Old Dominion, Jordan Davis and Lee Brice, to name a few. The event is sold out.

Luke returns to the judges table during the new season of American Idol which returns to ABC on February 16th.
