Ryan Reynolds narrowly escaped serious injury when a barricade that was holding back hundreds of fans gave way and almost crushed him. He was at a Comic-Con Experience in Brazil on Saturday to promote his new movie, “Free Guy,” and was waving and greeting thousands of screaming fans when he jumped down off the stage to shake a few hands. As soon as he approached the swarming fans, the barricade broke and Reynolds used his impressive reflexes and response time to fling himself out of the way and onto the stage.

GOOD NEWS

Recently a woman from Long Island named Diana Chong was heading off for an early Friendsgiving dinner in Pennsylvania.  And on her way out of town, she stopped at her favorite bagel shop and left her KEYS there.

Her car is a push-button one with a key fob, and her husband was inside with the engine running.  So that’s why they were able to drive off without the keys.

They drove 180 miles without stopping . . . got to their destination near Scranton, Pennsylvania . . . turned their car off . . . couldn’t find the keys . . . and realized they were STRANDED.  And they both needed to be back home on Monday for work.

They called the bagel shop, but there was no way to overnight the keys on a Sunday.  So without hesitating, the manager asked for the address and said HE’D deliver them.

His name is Vincent Proscia.  And he ended up driving SEVEN HOURS round-trip to get their keys back to them.

He drove back the same night, got two hours of sleep, and still went to work the next day.  When a reporter asked why he did it, he said it was, quote, “just the right thing to do.”

WHY YOU REALLY SHOULD NOT SHOWER OR SWIM WITH YOUR CONTACTS IN

When it comes to your eye health you really can’t be lazy– you have to take those contacts out before showering or swimming.

A report from earlier this month details how a 41-year-old woman from the UK recently lose the sight in her left eye after swimming and showering in contact lenses. First she experienced pain, blurry vision, and sensitivity to light for two months, and then doctors found she had a large ring shape in her left eye and a hazy layer over her cornea.

Doctors say she had a painful infection in her cornea caused by a single-celled organism found commonly in soil, air, and fresh water. Pools, hot tubs, showers, and even old containers of saline solution can provide a great environment for the organisms to grow. Also, they might be able to latch onto contact lenses when you shower or swim more easily than they could typically grab onto a naked eye, or it could be that the contacts give your eyes tiny injuries that make it easier for the organisms to make their way inside your body.

To prevent this condition always empty and dry your contact case before adding new liquid, and don’t shower, swim, or sleep in your contacts.

AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING AFTER DEER WAS KILLED ON LUKE BRYAN’S PROPERTY

Authorities are investigating, after a red stag deer, that belonged to Luke Bryan was shot and killed on his private property. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency believes it was shot from the road while on Luke’s farm. The Maury County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the guilty party.

Red stags are not native to the area… He and his wife, Caroline, operate a petting zoo on their property called Brett’s Barn, which features exotic animals of various kinds and provides an opportunity for sick children to interact with the animals. They created Brett’s Barn in honor of their late niece, Sadie Brett Boyer who died at the age of seven months in 2017, after battling congenital heart disease.

Luke has not commented publicly on the shooting or the investigation.

KEITH URBAN RELEASES CHRISTMAS VIDEO

Keith Urban has released a video for his Christmas song, “I’ll Be Your Santa Tonight.” The performance based video marks the first time Keith has recorded a Christmas song. He tells us more: [I wanted to write a song that could kind of just travel anywhere really, I guess, and be also about the sort of the romantic side of this particular Christmas Eve. The idea that this girl is about to have the bleakest Christmas ’cause there’s no, there’s too much fog, there’s no snow, her mom’s not going to be able to make it, her sister can’t come, it’s all going to be a complete mess. And the guy steps up and says it’s gonna happen. ‘I’ll bring the magic.]

FAST FACTS

Keith co-wrote the song with Shane McAnally.

The video was directed by one of Urban’s longtime video collaborators Chris Hicky.

DIERKS BENTLEY CELEBRATES NINETEENTH #1 SINGLE WITH NASHVILLE PARTY

At a Nashville restaurant yesterday (Dec 5,) Dierks Bentley celebrated his nineteenth #1 song, “Living.” Friends, family, co-writers, and industry friends were in attendance. As well as his son, Knox, who stars in the video. Dierks said the song was written at his home in Colorado. At the time, the house wasn’t even furnished. So, along with the other 3 writers, they put boxes together for a desk and even grabbed a chair from the back yard. Dierks told us this: [It was so fun, we were just sittin’ there with boxes and I think for me, the thing about everything I do is trying to recapture that first time feeling. I mean, when I walk on stage, every night, I try and turn everything into joy and wonder. I don’t soundcheck anymore. I used to soundcheck every day for 15 years and the last couple of years we just quit sound-checking. I have great front of house guys that can make it sound great. Part of it is not because I’m lazy, but I wanna hit that stage in just as much shock of what’s going on as the fans are. So, I’ll walk in and go…Oh whoa!]

FAST FACTS

The event took place at Nashville’s Superica restaurant

“Living” was written by Ross CoppermanAshley Gorley, Dierks Bentley, and Jon Nite

The Patriots Are Being Investigated for Cheating Again

The New England Patriots are being investigated for cheating again.

Here’s the deal:  The Patriots sent a video crew to Cleveland yesterday when the Browns played the Bengals.  But it was all above board and approved by the Browns.

They were supposedly there to shoot footage for a web series called “Do Your Job”.  But is that what they were REALLY doing?

A Bengals employee supposedly saw a Patriots videographer shooting Cincinnati’s coaches and staff on the sideline during the entire first quarter. So security interviewed the videographer, and he reportedly asked if they could just forget the whole thing if he deleted the footage.

“Do Your Job” features various Patriots employees . . . you know . . . doing their jobs.  And the subject of this particular episode was supposedly the scout who was sent to check out the Bengals ahead of next week’s game.

New England Coach BILL BELICHICK denied any involvement, saying, quote, “We have absolutely nothing to do with anything they produce, direct, or shoot, or anything.  This is something that we 100 percent have zero involvement with.”

The Patriots admitted that it happened, but called it an “unintended oversight,” and said the footage was never meant to be used for anything but the show.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Pats got caught creeping.  Remember Spygate?  They were fined $250,000 and lost a first-round draft pick for videotaping the New York Jets’ play calls in 2007.  Belichick was also fined $500,000.
