If something was popular in the ’90s, it’s pretty much guaranteed to get a reboot today.  Here’s the latest . . .

DUNKAROOS cookies are coming back.  They were discontinued in 2012, but General Mills decided to bring them back because, quote, “We wanted to help kids of the ’90s relive their childhood with this popular snack in all its dunking glory.”

They’ll hit stores this summer with one flavor:  Vanilla cookies you dip into vanilla frosting with rainbow sprinkles.

GOOD NEWS

DERRICK NNADI is a defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs.  And he’s celebrating their Super Bowl win this week in a pretty cool way.

All season long, he’s been working with a group called the Kansas City Pet Project that helps care for thousands of shelter animals each year.

Every time the Chiefs won a game, he paid a dog’s adoption fee to encourage more people to adopt.  The average fee is around $150, and the Chiefs won 15 games.  So that’s roughly $2,300. And to celebrate their trip to the Super Bowl, he decided to cover ALL of the adoption fees for every dog they had.

He’s paying the fees for over a hundred dogs, and a lot of them have already been adopted because of it.  One estimate put the total donation somewhere between $10,000 and $30,000.

Derrick says he always wanted a dog as a kid but wasn’t allowed to get one.  So that’s why he’s been so involved.

You Won’t Believe What the Top Gamers Made in 2019

The next time your parents tell you to get off those damn video games and do something productive, here are some facts you can shove directly into their faces:

Somebody made $17 MILLION last year playing Fortnite.  (!!!)  His name is TYLER BLEVINS . . . but he’s better known as NINJA.  And he was the top-earning gamer of 2019, according to Forbes.

Here’s the kicker though:  He made less than $100,000 of that money actually PLAYING.  The rest came from endorsements, fees, and sponsorships.

Because these days they’re not just competitors . . . they’re INFLUENCERS with massive followings.

He’s got 22.7 million YouTube subscribers, 14.9 million Instagram followers, 5.5 million Twitter followers, and 2.8 million followers on his Mixer livestream.  Ninja also competed on “The Masked Singer”, appeared on “The Tonight Show” and “The Daily Show”, and has his own merch at Walmart and Target.

Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg still managed to finish second with $15 million . . . even though he lost sponsorships over racist and anti-Semitic comments.  And a guy named Preston Arsement was third, with $14 million.

SYNCING UP THE CABLES:
European parliament has voted in favor of requiring the manufacturers of iPhone and Android (and many other devices) to make their phones use the same chargers.

The resolution, which could become law this summer, says that “Continuing fragmentation of the market for chargers for mobile phones and other small and medium-sized electronic devices translates into an increase in e-waste and consumer frustration.” And they’re right.

Think about all those old cables sitting in the junk drawer at your house. That’s the case in millions of homes all over the world. But still, it seems that every time you get a new device, you need a new cable or two, because you need an extra, and don’t have “that one” at home.

It is believed that the proposed legislation would mostly affect Apple’s “Lightning Cable”.

Mark Wystrach Reveals “Scary” Details About His Daughter’s Birth

Midland’s MARK WYSTRACH had a huge scare when his daughter “Sunny” was born back in November.  At the time he said the baby arrived with complications.  Turns out that was an understatement.

Here’s what he revealed in a recent interview.  QUOTE, “We had a really scary, unexpected, emergency C-section that we had a fetal to maternal hemorrhage, and we lost the baby’s heartbeat and my wife, Tyler’s, vitals were crashing.

“It was the scariest moment, the worst moment, and in a weird way, the best moment of your life, because you’re kind of experiencing all of that.”

He credits his family and friends for being there with the support that he and his wife needed.  Being that close to tragedy has him reflecting how precious life is.

Quote, “It’s weird how life teaches you the greatest lesson, that this life is a gift and you can’t take it for granted.”

CARLY PEARCE SEES BEAUTY IN HER CURRENT SINGLE

Carly Pearce’s new single was inspired by a relationship that she ended after falling out of love. When she first saw the artwork for the song, “I Hope Your Happy Now,” Carly says she got emotional. [What makes it so beautiful is this is my apology to this person. I actually was pretty emotional at first when I saw the artwork of the heart and listening to the song because I genuinely didn’t mean to hurt this person and I genuinely hope the best for them, and I genuinely hope that they’re happy now. So, I will never exploit their name or poke fun at them in the way that I did the guy that hurt me. But this is a genuine feeling that I think he probably knew would eventually come out in some way in my music, because that’s what we do as songwriters. And I feel like what I went through so many people go through and what Lee is singing about so many people got through.]

FAST FACTS

Carly co-wrote her latest single with Luke Combs.

Carly’s sophomore album will be released on February 14th.
