Some Instagram idiot was halfway through a flight from Toronto to Jamaica on Monday when he started claiming he had the coronavirus.  And even though it was a joke, the plane had to turn around and go back to Toronto.  One of the other passengers said the pilot got on the speaker and actually shamed the guy. He’s now facing charges……

A person in Florida got an empty package from China and called 911 because they believed it was someone sending them coronavirus.  It was not.

The Snow Moon is coming soon. That’s the name of the full moon that will be lighting up the night sky on February 8th and 9th (Saturday and Sunday.) NASA says the so-called “snow moon” will reach its peak at 2:33 a.m. Eastern time on Sunday (February 9th.) Some experts say this qualifies as a Supermoon, which is a phrase coined by NASA that is “when a full moon appears at perigee [its closest point to Earth]” and therefore seems slightly brighter and larger than a regular full moon.

The New “Sleep Divorce” Trend Is Helping Some Couples Get Better Sleep

If your partner keeps you awake at night snoring, getting up frequently, stealing the covers, or just being generally annoying in bed, it might be time for a divorce. A sleep divorce, that is.

Many couples who interrupt each other’s nightly rest have found refuge in sleeping apart, and discovered it helps not only their shut-eye quotient, but their relationship. According to a survey from Slumber Cloud, 12 percent of American couples have filed for a sleep divorce, and 30 percent have discussed it.

As a couple, if you enjoy sleeping together and can do so without disrupting each other’s sleep, that’s a great outcome. However, it doesn’t mean that your relationship is better than a couple who sleeps separately,” says Jennifer Adams, author of Sleeping Apart Not Falling Apart, who sleeps in a separate room than her husband of 15 years. If you’d like to try sleep divorce for yourself, Adams says timing and tone matter. “Make sure you know why you want to sleep separately and be very clear to your partner that it’s not an act of rejection,” she advises. “It comes down to proving that you aren’t trying to avoid your partner, you are focused on finding an environment that helps you sleep well.”

Adams recommends choosing a time when you both have plenty of time to talk through it, and carefully explaining the reasons why you want to try sleeping apart. Listen to your partner and do your best to put their minds at ease, especially if they express feeling hurt or rejected.

GOOD NEWS

The only cashier at a gas station near Grand Rapids, Michigan got so sick this month, he had to call 911.  But the store didn’t have to shut down . . .

He made the 911 call around midnight, and also called his boss to find someone to fill in for him.

But paramedics took him to the hospital before the other cashier got there.  And there were a bunch of customers waiting to buy stuff.

So instead of telling them to leave, a group of FIREMEN jumped behind the counter and ran the store.

Captain Chris Wieland says he had some trouble figuring out the register at first.  But he finally got it working, and rang people up until the other employee got there.

One of the firemen downplayed the whole thing, and said any group of firefighters would have done it.  Adding, “We’re here to help.”

The best news is the cashier who got sick was treated and released, and he’s okay.

SCIENCE-BACKED WAYS TO HAVE A HAPPIER MORNING:
➢ Get things ready the night before:  Lay out clothes, program the coffee machine, make your lunch, pack up your work bag. You’ll be amazed how much more smoothly your morning goes. (I’d be less-late, but I’d still be late…)

➢ Do some quick stretches:  Try lying in your bed for a while and stretching out your muscles, then slowly rise and do more simple stretches. Studies show that even small amounts of physical activity can make you feel good.

➢ Indulge in the bathroom:  Instead of hopping in the shower and hopping back out, make it a mini-spa experience. Use a nice shower gel, body lotion, and invest in fluffy towels. Add some whale song for the ultimate in gentle waking.

➢ Eat, even if you don’t feel like it:  Eat something tasty. If you don’t like early eating, have a smoothie or veggie juice.

➢ Plan something fun for later: Having something to look forward to later helps to chase away the early morning blues. Plan a favorite meal, arrange to get coffee with a friend, or send a sexy text message to your honey.

GREY NEW DISCOVERY:
Scientists have confirmed that stress can indeed turn your hair grey. Researchers at Harvard were looking to find out what exactly it is that makes our hair turn grey.

Based on anecdotal evidence, they started by looking for biological proof that stress saps the pigment out of hair.

Much to their surprise, they found that the process starts with the sympathetic nervous system, which orchestrates all of the critical body processes that we never have to think about—our heart rate, our breathing, as well as things like digesting food and fighting off germs.

They found that stress can cause the sympathetic nervous system to do permanent damage to a population of cells responsible for coloring hair.

Based on these findings, it’s possible that there may eventually be a way to either preserve the stem cells which add color to our hair, or control the effect that the sympathetic nervous system has on them.

Sam Hunt Announces a New Tour And, Finally, His Second Album

SAM HUNT has finally announced the release date of his second album.  It’s called “Southside” and it’ll be out April 3rd.  It’s been almost six years since “Montevallo” debuted.  That was way back in October of 2014.

In his defense, “Montevallo” kept churning out Number One singles so why stop the momentum by rushing into the studio.  Plus, he’s released non-album songs in the meantime . . . like “Downtown’s Dead”, and “Body Like a Back Road”.

We don’t know yet if those two will be on “Southside”, but it will feature “Kinfolks” and “Sinning With You”.

He’ll be hitting the road to promote it.  The “Southside Summer Tour 2020” will kick-off May 28th in Charlotte, North Carolina, and run into late September.

Carrie Underwood Can’t Live Without Exercise, Wine, and Coffee

CARRIE UNDERWOOD is loaded with talent.  But if you take that away, heck, she’s just like the rest of us.  At least the rest of us who NEED coffee, wine, and exercise.  Or maybe just two of those three.

She says quote, “I do need to work out and my husband does know that I need that in my life.  Even if it’s just a short workout in the morning, he’s like, ‘Oh I know you’re happier when you work out,’ and I’m like, ‘I know!'”

She’s one of those people who has to feel like she’s accomplished something every day, and the morning workout checks that box.  Quote, “So the rest of my day, I’m just in a better mood.”

She was also asked what else she needs on a regular basis, and she said, quote, “Wine.  I’m not gonna lie.  I work out in the morning.  I have my coffee, I can’t live without coffee.”

LADY ANTEBELLUM’S HILARY SCOTT SAYS ALBUM TITLE DESCRIBES ‘UPS AND DOWNS OF LIFE’ –

In naming their new album, Lady Antebellum felt Ocean was the perfect title because it represents the ups and downs of life. Hilary Scott said it was personal for her. She tells us more: [This season, even just personally, just with new babies that now can like give themselves a cracker, which is awesome, I was like the girl with my nose, just like, barely out of the water for a good little bit, just trying to readjust to three children under the age of six. Trying to figure out how to balance all of the things that I love and how to prioritize and re-prioritize certain things.  And so, I’ve been that girl lately, more so earlier, in the past probably a year and a half ago that was me. And then as of late I feel like we’ve just been sailing. But some days it’s smooth and then some days it’s not and it feels like the most genuine way to describe the ups and downs of life.]

Ocean features Lady Antebellum’s most recent #1 song, “What If I Never Get Over You.”

Lady A’s next show is April 4 in Vegas.
