A mystery has been solved in Florida where jars of preserved tongues were found under a crawl space in a Gainesville home. Turns out, they were stored there in the ’60s and ’70s for a research project done by Dr. Ronald Baughman, who worked for The University of Florida.

BULLIED BOY IN AUSTRALIA GETTING SUPPORT

A 9-year-old Australian boy born with a form of dwarfism is SUICIDAL because of the bullying he’s subjected to at school.

The boy’s mother was so fed up she posted a video of her son crying and saying he wants to KILL HIMSELF.  She also asked for suggestions, because apparently nothing she’s tried has stopped the bullying.

Not only did celebrities reach out, but comedian Brad Williams, who is also a little person, started a Go Fund Me to get Quaden to Disneyland.  He was asking for $10,000, but he’s already raised way more. It’s now almost $195,000.

Celebrities like Hugh Jackman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan sent videos of support to a 9-year-old boy with dwarfism who said he wanted to kill himself because people were bullying him at school.

GOOD NEWS

There’s an old trick for getting babies to sleep:  Just drive them around in the car for a while.  But now you might not have to waste all that gas . . .

Scientists in the U.K. worked with a music producer named Tom Middleton, and created a bunch of music that SIMULATES the driving sounds that put kids to sleep.

Apparently, the vibration of the road does help.  But the hum of the ENGINE also plays a big part.  The music doesn’t sound like a car engine though.

They used a bunch of car sounds . . . like the engine hum and the air conditioner.  But they mixed it with ambient music, and a combination of, quote, “white, pink and brown noise” in various tones.  So the car sounds are really subtle.

They ended up with 15 minutes of calming music that supposedly puts kids to sleep, just like driving does.

The whole thing is part of a promo for the Nissan LEAF . . . their fully electric car that doesn’t make any engine noise.

Stay hydrated on liquids that are NOT alcohol.  You should definitely let it go and have a blast . . . but don’t eat the moon pies they throw off the floats.

COMPOUND IN CHOCOLATE MAY MAKE WALKING EASIER FOR OLDER PEOPLE

Go ahead and have some chocolate. A new study finds a plant compound found in chocolate may make walking easier and less painful for adults with circulation issues.

Flavonals are found in dark chocolate and unprocessed cocoa, and have been linked to improved blood flow in several, older studies. For this new study, researchers looked those with PAD, or a narrowing of some arteries in the legs, stomach, arms and head that can cause tiredness in the legs or hip muscles while walking.

Half with the condition drank a chocolate drink three times a week, and they were then able to walk further than they could before the study started, and those who didn’t have the drink showed no improvement in distance walked.

Still, don’t go overboard on the chocolate– try sticking to things that contain unsweetened cocoa powder.

KANE BROWN KNOWS ALL ABOUT BEING ‘HOMESICK’

Kane Brown‘s latest hit, “Homesick,” is in the Top 10 and climbing on the country charts. He co-wrote the song for his current Experiment album because it touches on a subject that Kane knows plenty about. He explains: [“‘Homesick’ is just kind of personal just cause we’ve done so many shows in the last couple years, and I’m never home. I miss my dogs. I miss my family, my friends, and I had it tattooed on me already so it kind of made sense. I feel like the military can really relate to this song because they’re never home and you see all these videos of people coming back and the dogs are excited whenever their soldier comes home and all that stuff so I was like, ‘This is perfect!'”]

Kane continues on his World Wide Beautiful Tour on Feb. 29th in Atlantic City, NJ.
