The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in governments across the world telling citizens to stay in their homes as much as possible, with some stars, including British singer Sam Smith and Ellen DeGeneres, complaining on social media that being in lockdown is tough. Gervais slammed the stars whining about being holed up in luxury homes, saying they should be grateful they aren’t working to battle the disease or struggling to make ends meet.

GOURD-GEOUS:
If you’re looking for a mental boost during these tough times, it could be as simple as planting a garden.

A study by researchers at Anglia Ruskin University finds that community or home gardening improves body image. A study of gardeners in London determined that people who cultivate flowers, spices, fruits or vegetables have significantly higher levels of body appreciation, body pride, and appreciation for their body’s overall functionality.

The findings also suggested that the more time people spent gardening, planting seeds, weeding, watering, harvesting, etc., the larger the improvement in body image.

Previous research has proven that gardening can improve many aspects of psychological well being and physical health.

RUSSELL DICKERSON AND WIFE EXPECTING FIRST CHILD

Russell Dickerson and his wife, Kailey, are expecting their first child. They have been trying to start a family for nine months, and when Kailey shared the good news, Russell was shocked. He told People.com, “It just got to the point where we’re like, ‘Well, if it happens, it happens. It’ll happen when it does.’ It’s all God’s timing on that part, so yeah, I was completely surprised.”

The couple are holding off on finding out the sex of the baby until they settle on a name. They have not announced a due date.

Russell Dickerson has been married since 2013 . . . so someone asked for the best marriage advice he ever got.  He says it’s always about humility.  Apologize first and don’t let a disagreement linger because the longer it goes, the more resentment you’ll have, and the harder it’ll be to say you’re sorry.

JASON ALDEAN’S SON IS NATURALLY DRAWN TO MUSIC

Jason Aldean‘s two-year-old son, Memphis, is already a natural when it comes to music. As evidenced by the many social media videos of him dancing around to music at home, Jason tells us that Memphis could be on the path to following in his dad’s footsteps. [“He’s one of those that like when music comes on, even from the time he was really little, he would kind of start dancing around doing his thing, you know, so I feel like between myself and his mom — I mean, she’s a great singer, too, and she’s always singing around the house and stuff, so between the two of us I think it’s probably inevitable with him, but I think he’s already showing a love for music a little bit so we’ll see what happens.”]

BRAD PAISLEY RELEASES NEW SINGLE, ‘NO I IN BEER’

Brad Paisley has released his first single of 2020 called “No I In Beer.” He co-wrote it with longtime collaborator Kelley Lovelace in 2018, but it’s message is very timely.

Brad said, “People are utilizing this time to connect and to feel solidarity as human beings. This song wasn’t written for this specific moment we are all facing, but it takes on a new meaning for me when I hear it now.”

In keeping with the spirit of his song, Brad plans to host virtual happy hours and continue performing live stream concerts in the immediate future.
