➢ You may remember the story about a library in Washington that was getting a makeover when workers discovered a stash of beer and chewing gum behind a shelf (See the full story here: http://www.pulseofradio.com/content/story/447164). Now, Hamm’s beer, which was the beer found in the library stash, has announced a contest to find the library-goer who hid their brand of beer behind some paneling at the Washington state library some time in the 1980s. The brand wrote on social media, “Prove that the 30-year-old Hamm’s were yours and there might be a special surprise in it for you.” The “special surprise” is a gift card for 30 cases of Hamm’s, or for “one [case] for every year they’ve been missing the beer.”

The Creator of Jelly Belly Is Giving Away a Candy Factory, Willy Wonka Style
If you’ve got a child with behavior issues who needs to be taught a gruesome lesson and then possibly have that lesson explained to them in song by Oompa Loompas, maybe keep them away from this contest.
A guy named David Klein is the founder of Jelly Belly jelly beans. He’s getting ready to retire. So he’s giving away one of his candy factories . . . Willy Wonka style.
Here’s how the contest works. He’s gone to all 50 states and hidden a special necklace in each state. For $50 at TheGoldTicket.com, you can get a ticket to a scavenger hunt for the necklace in your state.
And if you find it, you get $5,000 . . . plus you’re entered in the grand prize drawing, where one of the 50 winners will get the candy factory.
(Then again, he’s selling 1,000 tickets for each treasure hunt . . . so that’s $45,000 profit per state after the $5,000 prize. All added up, that’s a total of $2.25 million. I’m sure the candy factory costs more than that . . . but that cash softens the blow.)

GOOD NEWS
When two women set out to rescue a dog, they never expected that they’d end up saving 10.
Megan Wedge found a stray dog wandering around a parking lot in Dalton, Georgia, in mid-May. When she spoke to her sister, Sarah Bauer, Bauer decided to take in the dog, which she named Izzy.
But she soon found out Izzy had experienced serious trauma. A visit with a veterinarian determined Izzy had been run over and shot with buckshot. X-rays showed the damage from the buckshot, but an ultrasound found an additional heartbeat.
At her follow up appointment, Bauer got an even bigger surprise when it was found that Izzy was pregnant with nine puppies, and she delivered the healthy pups from June 11th to June 12th. A GoFundMe has been created for Izzy’s needed surgery for her injuries, which costs $4,000. Bauer hopes Izzy’s story will help to raise awareness about animal abuse.

Luke – who is the reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year as well as Song of the Year recipient – tells us: [“You know, you never really expect something like this when you move to Nashville. I mean, getting six CMA nominations is pretty insane, two in the same category is just unbelievable, especially in a category that means so much to me, Song of the Year. And obviously, being in the conversation for Entertainer of the Year for the first time is such a huge deal, and having a seat at the table with Carrie and Miranda and Keith and Eric, it’s just an honor. I’m just really thankful and really humbled.”]
