➢ When a New York couple was told their over 100-year-old home was built by a notorious bootlegger, they passed it off as small-town legend. But during a recent home renovation, they found more than 66 bottles of whiskey from the Prohibition-era hidden within the walls and floorboards of their home, which was built in 1915.
The liquor is a brand of Scottish whiskey labeled Old Smuggler Gaelic whiskey, which is still made today. Each bottle was wrapped in tissue paper and straw and bundled in a package of six. The full bottles are estimated at a value of around $1,000 each,

What Your Steering Wheel Grip Says About Your Personality
If someone drives like an idiot, I assume they’re an idiot in general. But I don’t know how fair or accurate THIS might be . . .
A “personality expert” online claims you can tell how a person acts just by how they grip their steering wheel. Here are seven driving styles, and what they mean . . .
- “10 and 2.” That’s the classic way you might have learned as a teenager. If you still do it now, it means you play by the rules. And you might also be a perfectionist.
- “9 and 3.” So on the far left and right sides of the wheel. It means you’re probably an anxious person, but also very thorough.
- “8 and 4.” Like “10 and 2” but on the bottom of the wheel. It means you’re a confident person who likes to take charge.
- One hand on the bottom of the wheel. You’re a minimalist who keeps things simple.
- One hand near the top of the wheel. You’re relaxed and like to project confidence.
- Holding near the middle of the wheel. If it’s one-handed, you’re a thrill-seeker who lives life to the fullest. Two-handed means you’re soft spoken and try to avoid conflict.
FOUR RANDOM FACTS
- After college, Actor Ed O’Neillwas signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers . . . but he was cut during training camp.
- Honey Nut Cheerios don’t contain any nuts. They replaced ground almonds with, quote, “natural almond flavor” that comes from ground up peach and apricot pits in 2006.
- There are 22 stars around the mountain in Paramount Pictures’ logo. They represent the 22 movie stars they originally signed in 1916.
- A politician named Daniel Webster turned down the offer to be vice president twice in the 1800s, because he only wanted to be president. The offers came from William Henry Harrison and Zachary Taylor . . . who both died in office.
GOOD NEWS
A gas station attendant in Oregon named Bradley Rowe was filling a guy’s tank last month, and mentioned that he’s been struggling to get a $2,000 car loan to buy a 1998 Ford Explorer.
So the guy drove off . . . went straight to a dealership . . . wrote a huge check . . . and told a salesman to let Bradley pick out whatever he wanted.
The salesman found Bradley at the gas station, and he ended up getting a 2016 Kia Sportage.
Now he’d just like to find the guy and say thank you.

AUSTRALIAN JOGGER ATTACKED BY KANGAROO
A runner from Australia was attacked by a kangaroo in late November. The woman, Tracy Noonan, said she thinks the attack had something to do with the Sarah Jessica Parker perfume she spritzed on before leaving for her morning run. She says she often sees kangaroos from afar on her jogs, but this particular one followed her and even jumped three fences to get closer to her.
As she turned to run away, the kangaroo hit her in the back, causing her to fall to the ground. She said she then stood up and slowly inched away, managing to distract the animal long enough to find safety inside a stranger’s home. But then the kangaroo hung around for over about a half-hour, waiting for her to leave. A local park ranger informed Noonan that it might’ve been her perfume that caused such an intense interest from the kangaroo.
ESCAPED SHEEP WANDERS INTO HOTEL, WAITS FOR ELEVATOR
This is not what you expect to see at a hotel elevator bank. The Premier Inn in Holyhead, Wales, shared a video of a sheep that wandered into the building and was found standing in a hallway where it appeared to be waiting for the elevator. Employees say the sheep had escaped to a nearby field and entered the hotel through the automatic doors. They added the sheep was safely returned to its owner.
AUSTRALIAN WOMAN FINDS WILD KOALA IN HER CHRISTMAS TREE
This could be the best Christmas tree decoration ever. Animal rescuers in Australia were called to a home of a woman who found a koala hanging in the branches of her Christmas tree. The Adelaide and Hills Koala Rescue said their hotline operator initially thought they were being pranked when Amanda McCormick called in to report the creature in her tree inside her home. The female koala was safely returned to the outdoors. Rescuers note,
“Koalas are very curious creatures and if the opportunity presents itself, they will investigate.”

STICK IN THE MUD:
Can you stand one more update on those mysterious metal monoliths that have been showing up and disappearing over the past few weeks?
Now, an artist group has claimed responsibility for two of them, and is selling 10-foot monoliths on their website for $45,000(!!), which includes “delivery and installation”, according to the post. The Instagram account “The Most Famous Artist” has posted two photos – one of the Utah site and the other near a warehouse. There is also a third photo showing the site in California where one monolith still stands. So far, no answers about the Romanian monolith, though.
A business owner in Pittsburgh installed his own monolith outside his store last week, and it brought in a ton of business. But then someone stole it. He installed a new one the same day, and now he’s hoping this one doesn’t get stolen.

GABBY BARRETT HONORS HUSBAND WITH LATEST SINGLE
Gabby Barrett is making her way up the charts with her second single, “The Good Ones.” She co-wrote the song specifically about her now-husband and former fellow American Idol contestant Cade Foehner before they were even married.
[“The story with ‘The Good Ones’ is I found myself a good one! This past year has been a big year for me, it being in that year, I have gotten engaged, and his name is Cade, and I know he’s the one for me. People would always come up and ask me ‘Oh, how’s your boyfriend? How’s this one?’ and I’d be ‘Oh, he’s a good one. He’s a keeper.’ So, I wanted to write a song, and kind of saying that he’s a good one, and it’s about him.”]
“The Good Ones” follows up her multi-platinum chart-topping hit “I Hope.” Both songs are included on Gabby’s debut album, Goldmine, which was released earlier this year.
