On Today’s Show
December 9, 2020 9:35 am➢ A guy in England accidentally ordered an inflatable Grinch decoration that was WAY too big . . . almost as tall as his house. And it became a tourist attraction in his town. So he’s been asking for donations when people come to see it . . . gives all the money to charity . . . and has now raised over $21,000. (He says all the money is going to a hospice center that treated his dad before he died of COVID earlier this year.)
➢ An unnamed Italian man got into trouble after he hiked for a week in an attempt to calm himself down after arguing with his wife. The 48-year-old traveled 280 miles south over a period of a week. Across Italy, current lockdown regulations mean that a nationwide curfew is in place between 10 pm and 5 am. The police, performing a standard search for rule-breakers, came across the man at roughly 2 am. They questioned him and were reportedly shocked to discover that he’d covered such a distance. After inputting his details into a database, the police confirmed that his wife had reported him missing. They fined him 400 Euros ($650 CDN) for breaching the curfew.
➢Ryan Ledbetter came to the rescue of a 93-year-old man who lost his wedding ring while doing yard work. The ring is even more sentimental now because his wife had passed away a few years back. The man’s daughter put a post up on Facebook looking for help. That’s when Ledbetter and his trusty metal detector swooped in and helped find his ring.
➢ Here’s a new dating term for you. “Hatfishing” is where someone hides their bald head on dating apps. 21% of bald guys say they’ve tried to pull that off, according to a new survey . . . and about one in 10 people claim they’ve been a victim of hatfishing.
➢ NBC is inviting the Grinch to share its holiday season: The network will air a two-hour production of “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch Musical!” TONIGHT.
The musical production will star Glee’s Matthew Morrison as the Grinch and feature the hit songs ‘You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch’ and ‘Welcome Christmas’ which were played on Broadway during the holiday seasons of 2006 and 2007.
TODAY IS……………….

GOOD NEWS
Earlier this month, a patient in Padua, Italy who desperately needed a new kidney had a match . . . from a hospital 300 miles away in Rome.
And the police had an answer. They just so happen to have a Lamborghini Huracan they use specifically for rushing organs around the country . . . it’s even fitted with a special refrigerator in the trunk.
So they popped the kidney in the trunk and then drove it the 300 miles . . . in TWO HOURS.
That drive takes about five hours under normal conditions.
The Italian police tweeted out that, quote, “Thanks to our Lamborghini Huracan, [we] delivered a donor kidney for transplant to a person in time.”

JEFF FOXWORTHY ON CANADA…………
From a few years ago here is what Jeff Foxworthy had to say about Canadians during an appearance at Caesars in Windsor:
If someone in a Home Depot store offers
you assistance and they don’t work there,
You may live in Canada…
If you’ve worn shorts and a parka at the same time,
You may live in Canada…
If you measure distance in hours…
You may live in Canada.
If you have switched from ‘heat’ to ‘A/C’
and back again in the same day…
You may live in Canada.
If you can drive 90 km/hr through 2 feet of snow
during a raging blizzard without flinching…
You may live in Canada.
If you carry jumper cables in your car
and your wife knows how to use them…
You may live in Canada.
If the speed limit on the highway is 80 km,
you’re going 95 and everybody is passing you…
You may live in Canada.
If you find -10c degrees ‘a little chilly’…
You may live in Canada.

ROLLING BOWLING:
A Michigan man has created the world’s first mobile bowling alley. Inspired by companies like Amazon, Uber and Grub Hub, which rely on convenience for their customers to achieve success,
Terrance Jackson decided to bring a bowling alley to the people, rather than make people come to the alley, by converting a 53-foot, semi-truck trailer into an exclusive entertainment center on wheels.
Luxury Strike Bowling consists of 2 automatic bowling lanes, a scoring system, temperature control, neon lighting, 80-inch theater screen, a sky lounge and a state-of-the-art sound system.
The bowling alley is available to rent for parties, corporate events, and even church gatherings and small weddings, starting at $500 for 2 hours.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Dez Bryant left during warmups before last night’s (December 8th) game against his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, with what Baltimore said was an “illness.” Bryant tweeted that he’d tested positive for COVID, and, frustrated, tweeted later, “I’m going to go ahead and call it a quit for the rest of the season… I can’t deal with this.” But he later posted more tweets, including saying, “Yea I’m coming back… I’m being smart.”
Michigan on Tuesday (December 8th) canceled its annual college football game against Ohio State because of a rising number of Covid-19 cases in Michigan’s program. This will be the first time in 102 years that the season-ending match, known simply as “The Game,” won’t be played. Covid-19 outbreaks have disrupted more than 110 games across major college football since August.

JUSTIN MOORE LOOKS FORWARD TO CHRISTMAS WITH HIS FAMILY
Justin Moore seems to be staying busy with work. He’s hosting a podcast and featuring guests such as Jon Pardi, Brantley Gilbert, and Tracy Lawrence. He also just secured his publishing contract. He signed an extension to continue writing songs for Big Machine Music. But when it comes to personal stuff, what he’s really looking forward to – is Christmas with his family. Justin tells us more: [“We’re a family who, between my parents and our kids and us, we open gifts from each other on Christmas Eve. I know some do all on Christmas Day. We do those on Christmas Eve and then the only gifts that we open Christmas morning are from Santa, which is usually the biggest gift. You know Santa brings the biggest gifts, usually. And so, Christmas morning is usually Kate and I sittin’ and drinkin’ our coffee. Mine usually has a lot of Bailey’s in it because it’s just wreckage from the night before and that morning.”]
FAST FACTS
Justin and his wife Kate have 4 kids between the ages 3 and 10.
