➢ The U.K. has started giving out the COVID vaccine to elderly people and the second person in the country to get it is an 81-year-old man named . . . William Shakespeare.
A 91yr old by the name of Martin Kenyon was one of the first to get the vaccine and the video of his interview has gone viral……
➢ This week, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the premiere of “Home Alone”, Disney+ U.K. partnered with artist and cake designer Michelle Wibowo for an elaborate gingerbread recreation of the iconic house from the film. The project took 300 hours to complete, and features fine detail on edible items, from the house itself to the Oh-Okay plumbing van used by the burglars in the film, as well as the Little Mero’s pizza delivery car and small figures of Macaulay Culkin’s ‘Kevin’ and the bandits, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern.

➢ Daniel Radcliffe went through a lot of wands during the making of the “Harry Potter” movies. He says, quote, “I would just like drum on my legs with it all the time. So, once every three or four weeks, it would weaken to the point where it just snapped.”
➢ Jason Momoa surprised a young fan battling a rare form of brain tumour. He shared photos of Danny Sheehan, who turns eight in a few days, with the box he gifted him featuring “Aquaman” movie collectibles, including a life-sized trident. In November, Momoa surprised Sheehan with a sweet FaceTime video call after seeing a viral video of the Dannyr squealing with delight after receiving an Aquaman action figure. Momoa, who is currently on location in Toronto, shared part of their call in a video posted to Instagram.

• “Geminid Meteor Shower”, this annual event begins tonight and peaks Sunday night and into Monday morning. We will be able to see a predicted 120-150 meteors per hour. Tiny particles will enter our atmosphere at 35km/second, producing long, slow and very bright streaks vaporizing about 80 km high. Some consider this the best meteor shower of the year, and some expert are saying this year’s could be the best EVER.

FARE DEAL:
It’s not exactly ‘working from home’, but you could probably make do. Hawaii is using free airfare to entice remote workers to move temporarily to the state during the pandemic.
The Aloha State launched the program, called “Movers and Shakas,” which allows out-of-state workers to apply for round-trip tickets to the island of Oahu. It’s an effort aimed at helping aid the economic recovery by attracting visitors and bringing business to local establishments hurt by the decline in tourism.
Successful applicants will be required to commit a few hours each week to a nonprofit, where they can use their knowledge and skills. Applications are now being accepted for the first cohort of visiting workers.

- Police in South Carolina say they have arrested the man who is responsible for 21 armed robberiesin one month. Deveon Belk is the man accused of committing the almost two dozen armed robberies between two counties.

One of them is a fifth-grade teacher in Mississippi named Triana Davis, who hand-delivered homework to students who didn’t have computers. (When she saw the car, she got emotional and said she’s just like thousands of other teachers out there.)

Disney Just Announced a Whole Lot More
Disney announced about 5,000 new projects during an “Investors Day” presentation yesterday.
- “Indiana Jones 5” IS happening, with HARRISON FORD back in the title role. It’s due in theaters in July of 2022.
- There are 10 new “Star Wars” series and 10 new Marvel series coming to Disney+ in the coming years. The “Star Wars”shows include “Lando“, but there’s no word if either DONALD GLOVER or BILLY DEE WILLIAMS will be involved.
And even though you already knew EWAN MCGREGOR was starring in an “Obi-Wan” series, you didn’t know THIS: HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN will return to play Darth Vader, in what Lucasfilm is calling “the rematch of the century”.
- Some new Marvel movies were announced . . . including yet another attempt to make the “Fantastic Four” happen. The guy who does the new “Spider-Man” movies is making it.
- CHRIS EVANS is the new Buzz Lightyear. He’ll take overfor TIM ALLEN for a standalone origin film.
Pixar will also make a “Cars” spinoff series for Disney+ . . . as well as a show called “Dug Days”, centered on the dog from “Up”.
- Disney announcedthat two of its live-action remakes, “Pinocchio” and “Peter Pan & Wendy”, will debut on Disney+. So will “Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers”. . . a live action-animation hybrid starring ANDY SAMBERG and JOHN MULANEY.
- One last note . . . Disney+ is uppingits subscription price by a dollar in March.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD GETS TO BE ‘MOM DOING CHRISTMAS SHOPPING’ WITH MASK
There have been many downsides to the global pandemic, but one silver lining for celebrities is their ability to be unrecognizable when out in public thanks to masks. Carrie Underwood is among those who have appreciated the anonymity while recently checking out her Calia By Carrie Underwood holiday pop up shop in a Nashville mall.

TIM McGRAW RECALLS A VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS
Tim McGraw has a lot of special Christmas memories with his wife Faith Hill and their three daughters, but one from his childhood, really stands out in his mind as a rite of passage. Tim explains: [“I think one thing that I remember as a kid that was sort of a turning point for me growing up for me is, I grew up with my mom and my two sisters. I remember being, I don’t know, probably 11 years old or so and my mom asking me to put together a doll house for my sisters. And that was the first time that I actually got to participate and, like, be the man of the house with my mom and put together all the Christmas stuff for my sisters. And that was sort of a big graduating to a young man, in my eyes, thing for me.”]

DIERKS BENTLEY PLAYS DOWN AND OUT CHARACTER IN NEW VIDEO
Dierks Bentley has released a music video for his new single “Gone.” In it, he plays a down and out guy who watches himself hit rock bottom. He plays several characters throughout the clip.
Dierks commented on that and said, “It just always ends poorly for me in this video. I definitely had a lot more fun making it than it looks though. We got to film a bunch of scenes inspired by some of my favorite shows like The Office, MacGyver, Game Of Thrones and Full House.”
The video was shot last month in Nashville.
