➢ A salt truck driver in Ohio got into a high-speed chase with the police last week after he almost hit a cop and covered him in salt.  And during the chase, the driver dumped salt on the police cars behind him.  It didn’t work . . . and eventually they got him to stop and arrested him on several charges.

His lawyer claims he never heard their sirens and didn’t realize they were trying to pull him over.

➢ A four-year-old girl has gone viral with a song that she made up while riding in her car set.  Check it out, here.

➢The only way these porch pirates could’ve taken themselves more literally is if they’d worn eye patches and parrots on their shoulders.

A woman named India Gardner in Detroit, Michigan got home from work on Saturday and found porch pirates had hit her house.

But they didn’t steal Amazon or UPS boxes off her porch.  No . . . they stole her ENTIRE PORCH.

The green wooden stairs, railings, and small porch that HAD been in front of her house were completely missing. She says she’s filing a police report to try to find her porch.

➢ Listen to this porch pirate get caught red-handed, and then stammer through some lame, totally B.S. excuse.

➢“Frasier” might be making a comeback. It has been reported that the long-talked-about sitcom reboot is nearing the green light at the new streaming service Paramount+, which is set to replace CBS All Access. It would see Kelsey Grammer reprising his most famous role as ‘Dr. Frasier Crane’. Discussions have been ongoing for several years, including in 2018, when it was reported that a reboot in the works would see Frasier move away from Seattle. The original ran for 11 seasons from 1993-2004. Reps for Paramount+ and CBS TV Studios have not commented on the report.

Defenseman Jeff Petry has seen his nickname evolve over the years.

“It wasn’t always “Petey.” When I was in Junior, it was “Dish,” like petri dish.

In high school, it was “Peaches,” which was my dad’s nickname when he played baseball.

I think a lot of people knew about that, so that was it,” explained the veteran blueliner. “Those are the three I can think of.”

COOKING UP SOME NUMBERS:
Yes, a lot of things have changed in the last year. Remember enjoying a carefree, maskless meal at a restaurant? Remember buffets? Many have had no choice but to spend more time cooking (and baking) at home during the pandemic.

And according to a survey by research firm Hunter, we plan to stick with it. 71% say they plan to cook more for themselves after the pandemic ends. Why? 67% say saving money is a major factor, while 56% say they have a desire to eat healthier and enjoy the good feeling that comes from cooking for yourself. 81% said that they are enjoying cooking at home more, and half feel more confident in their kitchen skills than they were a year ago.

When it comes to how our food habits have changed since lockdowns began, 42% say they are more mindful of food waste, and 56% feel that their ratio of healthy-to-indulgent eating is at pre-pandemic levels.

WINGIN’ IT:
You thought 2020 was bad? It appears that America may be headed into the throes of a nation-wide chicken wing shortage – just in time for the Super Bowl. With just days to go, food service providers are scrambling to get their hands on the bite-sized delights, and paying top-dollar for them.

Wing prices generally fluctuate according to the calendar, with spikes right before the Super Bowl and the NCAA basketball tournament. But prices have been flying high for months now during the pandemic.

Experts say there are a number of reasons, but the main one is that many people are enjoying wings are part of their regular diet. So, the shortage isn’t because producers aren’t making enough wings, it’s that consumers want more and more (and more) of them to scarf down.

Kenny Chesney has known Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid since his days coaching the Eagles.  Listen to Kenny talk about their friendship, here.

FGL’S TYLER HUBBARD ENJOYS THE ANONYMITY OF MASKS

The pandemic continues and that means continued use of face masks when out in public. Most people are anxious to put those masks away, but FGL‘s Tyler Hubbard says that having to wear a face covering has actually been a bit of a blessing.

[“I like wearing a mask, I’m not gonna lie. It’s been fun walking through Target and feelin’ … you know, not that we’re always getting recognized or that we’re getting hassled, or that it’s anything like that, but you always sort of, after so many years, you sorta feel like people are looking at you even if they’re not.  And so, with a mask on, you’re like nobody knows it’s me, I can do whatever. And I don’t know, there is some freedom in that. It’s kind of fun. I was saying that for a while. I’m like man, I hope this pandemic’s over soon, but I hope the mask thing is still normal for a little while cause I’ll probably rock it for a little while, maybe the next year. I’m gonna go party at FGL House with a mask on and just rage.”]

FGL’s new album, Life Rolls On, will be released on Feb. 12th.

LADY A SAY INVITATION TO JOIN OPRY WAS ‘TRULY A SURPRISE’

Lady A received their invitation to both join the Opry and become official members on the same night on Jan. 21st. They were taping their portion of the upcoming Grand Ole Opry: 95 Years of Country Music television special when their friend Darius Rucker surprised them with the invitation.

Charles Kelley tells us: [“I mean, it really, truly was a surprise.  All my friends have asked me, they’re like, ‘Did you know?’  And we had absolutely no idea.  I know it just meant the world to the three of us.  It means the world to our family, and can’t think of anybody that I would want more than Darius Rucker to have been the guy that welcomed us in.  He’s the closest friend of mine in this music industry and I lean on him a lot for advice, and just friendship in general.  And so, it was pretty special for us to share that moment and see him even tearing up.  It just means the world, man.”]

The moment when Darius surprised Lady A with the Opry invitation will be a part of Grand Ole Opry: 95 Years of Country Music when it airs on February 14th at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

DARIUS RUCKER IS ‘NEVER GONNA BET AGAINST TOM BRADY’ IN SUPER BOWL

Darius Rucker is on the fence about which team will win Sunday’s (Feb. 7th) Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He tells us: [“Not only do we have Mahomes is the best new quarterback and Tom Brady who I have to finally admit is the goat, even though Dan Marino is 1A, but I’m not going to go into that (laughs). But with those two teams going at each other, I’m looking for a great game. You know, there’s that’s part of me that wants to go Kansas City is going to win, ‘cause when you look at it that’s how the football mind, how I see it, but I made a vow after the last two weekends of the playoffs that I’m never gonna bet against Tom Brady again. (laughs) So, I don’t know who’s going to win, (laughs) but I think it’s gonna be a great game.”]
