On Today’s Show
February 12, 2021 9:35 am➢A guy went into a Dunkin’ Donuts in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday morning and pulled out a KNIFE. He wanted free coffee and also everything in the cash register.
So the employee who was working the register went into the kitchen . . . and grabbed a bigger knife. Yes, he went for the classic “That’s not a knife” move from “Crocodile Dundee”.
And it WORKED. The robber was scared of the bigger knife so he ran out of the store empty-handed, jumped in his car, and sped off. The cops are trying to track him down.
➢ Earlier this week, we heard about a dog in New Jersey who helped saved its owner after he had a stroke. Now the guy’s back home recovering. And the dog went nuts when they were reunited outside a hospital on Tuesday.
➢ A new survey found the average person would pay $1,836 to erase 2020 from their memory. (Here’s a scene from “Men in Black” when Tommy Lee Jones uses a “neuralyzer” to erase people’s memory.)
➢ A student posted a very odd moment from the first day of her college Zoom class. It’s her teacher saying he’s had about 15 students through the years who have died from either drowning, murder, heart attack, or cancer. Check it out, here.
➢ The mansion that the Rose family gets kicked out of at the beginning of “Schitt’s Creek” is for sale and it could be yours . . . if you’ve got an extra $15 million kicking around.
The place has a name . . . as $15 million mansions often do. It’s called La Belle Maison, and it’s in Toronto.
It’s 24,000 square feet, with 12 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a home theater, a wine cellar, a billiard room, a fitness gym, and indoor AND outdoor swimming pools. To name just a few of its amenities. (Check out some pictures here.)

MOM BAKES AMAZON DELIVERY BOX CAKE FOR SHOPAHOLIC SON’S BIRTHDAY
It’s not weird to get people cakes that reflect something they love, right?
Nina Williams of Wales, U.K., recently shared a photo of the cake she whipped up to celebrate her son Kane’s 24th birthday—and it’s a completely edible creation that looks just like a box from Amazon sitting on a porch.
Nina says she banned her son from her bake shop, Nina’s Cake Cabin, ahead of his February 2nd birthday, and then tricked him into thinking it was a package for him on his actual birthday.
She added that her son gets packages from Amazon almost weekly. The cake was made with chocolate, raspberry jam, and buttercream.

- If you thought the monolith craze was done with, think again. Authorities in Turkey are investigating the appearance of a mysterious monolith in the southeastern part of the country. The metal block was spotted by a farmer last Friday, and it has old Turkic script on it that reads, “Look at the sky, see the moon.” The monolith stands about 10 feet high, and was discovered near a Heritage site which has megalithic structures dating back to the 10th millennium B.C., thousands of years before Stonehenge.

DARIUS RUCKER IN TALKS TO HOST PODCAST
Darius Rucker might be heading into the world of podcasts. He tells us he’s currently in talks to do one. [“Actually I’m in negotiations right now to maybe do a podcast with a buddy of mine. If it works out it’ll be a lot of fun. It’ll be a lot of fun, but I think we talk about everything. If you do an hour long podcast I think with everybody I wanna talk about music and of course sports — sports, music and life. I mean, that’s what I’d want to talk about. If it works out it’ll be a lot of fun. It’ll be a lot of work but work never killed anybody.”]

BLAKE SHELTON ON GWEN STEFANI: BEING TOGETHER ‘COMPLETES THE JOURNEY FOR US’
Blake Shelton has found his forever Valentine in Gwen Stefani. While the two come from very different backgrounds and lifestyles, Blake tells us that when they come together it just works. [“She comes to Oklahoma, and it’s not like this now, but at first, she had to have felt like ‘where am I? What is this place?’ This is not how she grew up, and the same with me. I’d go to LA and it’s like ‘What is this place? How do I fit in here?’ And I would still feel that way if she wasn’t there. You know, and I think the same thing with her for when she comes to Oklahoma, it’s just that’s what completes the journey for us…it’s just as long as we’re together, it really doesn’t matter.”]
The couple got engaged last year after five years of dating but have not yet announced a wedding date.
This Sunday at 9pm Grand Ole Opry members Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton will serve as co-hosts for the two-hour anniversary special.
