➢A guy on Twitch recently turned his speakers up all the way before he went to bed. And if you tipped him, you could play any sound you wanted to scare him awake. It was a huge hit, and lots of people got in on it. They even had a running joke where they’d scare him into thinking a burglar was coming in through his window. And in seven hours, he made $16,000 in tips. (Here’s a quick montage from the video he posted.)
➢As hard as it is to believe, Jamaica is running low on ganja. Heavy rains followed by an extended drought, an increase in local consumption and a drop in the number of marijuana farmers have caused a shortage that experts are calling the worst they’ve seen. Jamaica, which foreigners have long associated with pot, reggae and Rastafarians, legalized the medical marijuana industry and decriminalized small amounts of weed in 2015. Worsening the problem are strict COVID-19 measures, including a 6 p.m. curfew that meant farmers couldn’t tend to their fields at night as usual.
TODAY IS……………….
- “Tortilla Chip Day”, saluting 1940s the invention by Rebecca Webb Carranza of LA. Rather than tossing misshaped tortillas from an automated tortilla machine into the trash, she cut them into triangles, fried them, and sold them for a dime a bag. They were an immediate hit!

Five Bad Habits to Avoid First Thing in the Morning
Mondays are tough, but are you making them even harder than they need to be? Here are five bad habits to avoid first thing in the morning . . .
- Hitting the snooze button. Over half of us do it, but studies show those extra few minutes of sleep don’t actually help. So you’re better off setting your alarm for a more realistic time, and training yourself to wake up the first time it goes off.
- Immediately checking your phone. Checking texts and emails or reading the news in bed are some of the most stressful ways to start your day. Better options include stretching . . . deep breathing . . . drinking some water . . . or saying hi to your kids.
- Starting your day with a sugar rush. It sets you up for a roller coaster of being hungry, moody, and then tired again. Cereal and sweetened coffee are the two biggest culprits.
- Not washing your face. Pillows are covered in oil and dead skin, especially if you haven’t washed them in a while. So even if you wash your face before bed, it’s not a bad idea to wash it again in the morning. Just don’t use a harsh cleanser both times. Soap and water are fine.
- Completely overlooking your own mental health. Having to rush around is what makes mornings so stressful. So going to bed and waking up earlier really is important, because it gives you more time to ease into things. That said, even a small routine like opening up the shades and letting some sun in can help.

FOUR RANDOM FACTS
- A white flag is not actually a sign of surrender for boats at sea. It’s just a request to communicate.
- Bubbles from a bubble bath thermally insulate the surface of the water, keeping the bath warm for a longer period of time.
- Hula hoops were once banned in Japan for causing “obscene movements”.
- “Trick” birthday candles that reignite after you blow them out have been illegal in Canada since 1977.

There’s a 44-year-old guy named Ben Baron in Lincolnshire, in the U.K. And he was driving through an area that’s a known speed trap last year . . . where traffic cameras had caught him speeding before.
But this time, he remembered the trap was coming, so he was driving under the speed limit as he passed the cameras.
And to celebrate, he flipped his middle fingers at the cameras.
But . . . he just got a ticket in the mail for not having proper control of his vehicle because his hands were off the wheel.
He’ll have to go to court soon to find out how much he’s going to be fined . . . the maximum is $1,400.
Two Burglars Are Easily Caught After Cops Follow Their Footprints in the Snow
The Seattle area had its snowiest day in 50 years recently when they received almost 10 inches of snow.
Meanwhile, two guys decided to break into a house in Tacoma and they were still there when police showed up.
They tried to run. But instead of chasing them, the cops just took their time . . . and followed their footprints in the snow.
They tracked one guy to a church parking lot, and found him hiding in a dumpster. And the other guy was hiding in a tree.
They’re both facing charges for second-degree burglary. And the guy in the dumpster also had drugs on him.

SAY BYE TO DRY EYES:
If you’ve been spending all day in front of a computer like many people during the pandemic, your eyes may be feeling the effects. But here’s some good news: a behavioral optometrist says that our vision should improve as our lives get back to ‘normal’, after the worst of the pandemic.
Bhavin Shah, who also works as a myopia (near-sightedness) management consultant in London, UK, believes that many people have overworked their eyes, and they could use some recovery time. He has seen an increase in patients experiencing eyestrain, fatigue, and tired and blurry eyes, but says the simple acts of commuting to work and working in an office atmosphere allows for more breaks and natural eyes movements and focusing.
This will allow our eyes to get the rest and recovery time they need, and from there, things should definitely start to “look up.”
WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 24TH
- TIGER WOODSwas seriously injured when he crashed his car yesterday morning. He was reportedly speeding when he lost control. Police don’t believe he was impaired at the time. The extent of his injuries isn’t known . . . however his agent said that he “suffered multiple leg injuries.”
He suffered multiple leg injuries, the full extent of which required the insertion of a rod, screws and pins into his lower right leg, foot and ankle. When Police arrived on the scene, they found Tiger lucid and responsive, but trapped inside his SUV. They had to use a prybar, an ax, and several other tools to free him.
They actually pulled him out through the windshield. No one else was in the vehicle.

Here is a montage of some of the contestants who were on back then, before they became very famous. (No premiere date has been announced for the new show.)

JORDAN DAVIS’S NEW VIDEO STARS HANNAH BROWN
Jordan Davis has released his new music video for “Almost Maybes,” and the clip stars Hannah Brown of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette shows. The video was shot in a film studio where they recreated scenes from Jordan’s past including his old college dorm room and one of his favorite bars from Baton Rouge called Bogie’s. Each set is a snapshot of a previous ex relationship.
Jordan tells us EXCLUSIVELY that he and Hannah developed a friendship after first meeting at the Academy of Country Music Awards a couple years ago. [“Well, my wife was first a fan of her cause my wife is a huge Bachelor fan and I think I ran into her at the ACM‘s. She stopped me and told me that she was a fan of (debut album) Home State. That was the first night I’d met her, and then through Dancing With The Stars, the season where she ended up winning, I told her I was a fan of watching her. That was another show that my wife loved, so we just kind of told each other that we were pulling for each other and we’ve kind of stayed in contact through there. She’s a sweetheart.”]
“Almost Maybes” is the lead single from Jordan’s self-titled EP and is currently Top 20 and climbing on the country charts.
