➢ A man has bought an entire soccer (football) team so he and his son can play in official matches. 35-year-old entrepreneur He Shihua recently became the major shareholder of Zibo Cuju Football Club, a team in the second division (China League One). Now, both Shihua and his 126-kg-heavy (278 lb) son are a part of the team, even though their skills aren’t exactly up to par. And so far, the duo hasn’t proven its worth, as Zibo Cuju is last in the league, with just 1 point in 5 games.
➢ The owner of a British Columbia Airbnb property paying tribute to the fantasy race of hobbits from “The Lord of the Rings” has been forced to change the name of her property after being threatened with a lawsuit. She bought the “Hobbit Mountain Hole” last year as part of a larger purchase of a ranch in B.C.’s Thompson Okanagan area. She claims Warner Bros., the entertainment company that distributed the “Hobbit” movie series, reached out last week, threatening to launch a lawsuit if she didn’t change the name. The property has now been renamed the “Second Breakfast Hideaway”, a nod to a Hobbit’s love of meals.
➢ Kate Hudson just found out on Rob Lowe’s podcast that Matthew McConaughey might run for governor of Texas. She was pretty shocked, but she praised him for his heart, his authenticity, and the fact that he’s fun on a couple tequilas.

TWO UNEXPECTED FINDS……
A Missouri woman was out gardening in her yard recently when she discovered something unexpected in her grapevines — a World War II era Japanese bomb.
Pamela Lovett brought it to her husband right away and they both took it inside of their house to examine it further. They washed it off for a better look when she noticed Japanese lettering engraved on the outside. “The next thing you know I’m sitting at our dining room table scraping on it with a steak knife trying to clean it out,” her husband said. “We’re trying to figure out what the heck this thing is when from the kitchen she yells, ‘Stop! I think that might be a bomb!'”
Lovett was using the Google Lens tool to try to identify the strange object.
The couple immediately called Police and it was determined that the bomb, even in its old age, was live and still had a 500-ft. blast range. The bomb has since been safely detonated at an air force facility in Missouri. There is still no reasonable explanation as to how this bomb could have wound up buried on their property.
A treasure trove of jewelry and other goods likely belonging to one or more high-status women was once intentionally left in a forest in what is now western Sweden.
It only took 2,500 years to find it. Cartographer Thomas Karlsson was surveying the forest near the town of Alingsas for his orienteering club when a metallic glint caught his eye.
A closer look revealed several necklaces, bracelets, and ankle rings.
But even then, “I thought they were fake,” says Karlsson. “It all looked so new.” That’s when he emailed a local archaeologist. The 50 well-preserved items in fact date to between 750BC and 500BC, when tribes were thought to leave offerings to the gods in nature.

Five Life Hacks You Need to Know Right Now
Life’s hard enough, so when someone puts together a list of amazing life hacks, we pay attention. Here are five you might not know about . . .
- Put onions in the freezer for ten minutes before you chop them. They’re less likely to make you cry that way, because it takes longer for the juices to release the chemical gas that makes you tear up.
- Use a cheese grater for hard butter, especially if you’re baking. It softens up a lot faster that way. And you don’t have to risk liquifying it in the microwave.
- Use nail polish remover to get permanent marker off your skin. That one might come in handy if you have kids . . . or if you pass out at a college party.
- Use Windex to get a ring off your finger. Someone who worked at a jewelry store said it works great. It’s because Windex has compounds called “surfactants” that lower surface tension.
- You can use chips as kindling if you need to start a fire. Corn chips, potato chips, and even Doritos work. They’re flammable because of all the fat and oil. And they burn slowly, which is good.

BIKE-LINKED HEAD INJURIES PLUMMET FOR KIDS, BUT NOT ADULTS
Riding a bike is fun, but it can also be dangerous. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says rates for bicycle-related injuries have declined among kids but barely budged among the growing number of adult bike riders.
Between 2009 and 2018, increasing helmet use, construction of dedicated bike lanes in cities and other safety interventions have greatly reduced bike-related traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), especially among kids ages 10 to 14. The researchers say that the rate of emergency department visits for bicycle-related TBIs decreased by about 49 percent among children, and by 5.5 percent among adults.
The data also shows that TBIs related to bicycling were three times as likely among males, and boys and men were also more likely to die from a bike accident than girls and women were.
The experts believe that more education about bicycling safety is needed, targeted specifically at men and boys.

JOLTIN’ JOE:
Yes, a good hit of java in the morning definitely can give you a quick boost.
And a new study says that grabbing a second and third cup may be good for your brain. Researchers in Portugal say those who regularly drink coffee are not only more alert, but also have a better memory.
Researchers found that consuming 3-5 cups of coffee per day can make coffee drinkers more focused while also displaying more brain activity, and greater memory and learning abilities.
In an examination of MRI scans, scientists discovered differences in the makeup of the brains between regular coffee drinkers and those who don’t consume the beverage.
Coffee drinkers had a more “efficient” brain, as shown by quicker connectivity between parts of the brain.
This means regularly drinking coffee may give people better motor control.
Participants consuming caffeine were also less likely to let their minds wander.
Study authors add the effects of a brain boost from coffee can be immediate, and non-coffee drinkers could start seeing benefits from a single cup of java.
Garth Brooks’ Tip for Setting the Bedroom Mood, Listen to Trisha Yearwood
GARTH BROOKS and TRISHA YEARWOOD have been married for 15 years, and there’s no let-up to his devotion. They co-hosted Friday’s “Ellen” and he bent over backwards saying nice things about her.
There was a segment where fans asked for marriage tips. Somebody wondered how they set the mood in the bedroom, and he suggested listening to “one of the greatest female voices on the planet, a gorgeous blonde named Trisha Yearwood.”
Another person asked if there’s a secret to a long-lasting marriage. He said, quote, “You gotta treat it like a duet. You gotta harmonize. Gotta make your partner feel like they’re a star. If not, you’re going to turn into a solo act pretty damn quick.”
That led to them singing a duet that Garth wrote that seems to be titled, “The Wife Is Always Right”.

OLD DOMINION RELEASES NEW SINGLE, VIDEO
Old Dominion’s new single came out May 21st called “I Was On A Boat That Day.”
It’s the lead single from the band’s upcoming fourth studio album, and as Matthew Ramsey tells us, it’s a song that almost wasn’t. [“It started around the same time that we started writing “Break Up With Him.” We had this idea we were kicking it around for a long time, and we bring it up and shoot it down. I don’t know how many times we decided not to write this song. And then for whatever reason, when we were in Asheville, North Carolina, making this album, it came up again and we sort of laughed like it was a joke, but then our co-writers Shane McAnally, and Josh Osborne helped us see the light that it actually was not a joke title. It was actually a really fun title. So we wrote it.”)
Old Dominion will hit the road on their Band Behind The Curtain Tour later this month. They also just announced their summer Live at the Ballpark Tour, set to launch on July 17th in Jackson, Tennessee.
