On Today’s Show
June 14, 2021 9:35 am➢ QUEEN ELIZABETH celebrated her 95th birthday on Saturday by cutting her cake . . . with a SWORD.
At one point, one of her aides tried to tell her there was a knife she could use, and she replied, “I know there is” . . . then kept on rolling with the sword. Although she did need some help from CAMILLA PARKER BOWLES.
Later in the day, the Queen met with world leaders including PRESIDENT BIDEN. And she got sassy again during a photo op, when she said, quote, “Are you supposed to be looking as if you’re enjoying yourself?”
➢ A dog in Alberta named Rogan, is gaining notoriety for selling his paintings and giving all the proceeds to local animal shelters. Here is his owner talking about the almost $6,000 he’s raised with his artwork.
➢ A video is going viral of a Toronto police officer removing a cup off of a wild skunk’s head. Here is a play-by-play of the incident.
➢ A news anchor in Namibia, South Africa, didn’t realize she was live, and told another anchor “No, we’re not going to do that. We’re just going to greet me and then say take it away.” That’s when she was told “Jessica, we are live.” They both said nothing for ten seconds, until the station cut away. Now the phrase is trending worldwide. Here’s how it happened.
➢ The Westminster Dog Show was this weekend in New York. And a Boston Terrier named Ripple was doing great on the obstacle course until her HANDLER wiped out. The guy tripped and almost fell on TOP of her. Then Ripple jumped over an obstacle the wrong way and was disqualified.

Jeans That Look Like You’ve Been Attacked by a Ninja Are Selling for $375
Will fashion companies ever run out of new ways to make jeans feel trendy?
We’ve now hit the point where they’re just cutting parts off and sewing them back on crooked.
A South Korean clothing brand is selling something called “Slash” jeans. And from the knees up, they look normal. But halfway down, there’s a slanted cut across both pantlegs. So the top half of each leg doesn’t quite line up with the bottom half. And some people think they look like a “glitch in the Matrix.”
Other people say it’s more like a ninja sliced you in half, and the top part of your body is slowly sliding off of your lower legs. Which is probably why they’re called “Slash” jeans.
You can pre-order them online for the low, low price of $375 U.S.

Thirteen of those winning tickets were purchased in Ontario.
Tomorrow’s draw will now include a $70-million jackpot and an estimated 58 Maxmillion draws, meaning $128 million in top prizing will be available to be won, setting a Canadian record.
A lucky lottery player somewhere in Ontario is holding the winning ticket for Saturday’s $9.4 million jackpot.
The winning ticket for the draw’s guaranteed $1 million prize was also sold in Ontario – as was the ticket for the $250,000 runner up prize.
The jackpot for the next Lotto 649 draw on June 16 will be an estimated $5 million.

CHRIS LANE AND WIFE WELCOME BABY BOY
Congratulations to Chris Lane and his wife, Lauren Bushnell, who welcomed their first child, son Dutton Walker Lane, last Tuesday (June 8th) in Nashville. He weighed in at a healthy 9 lbs.
Chris told People.com, “Everyone in the room, including Lauren and me, were shocked we had a 9-pound baby! Not sure where he was hiding in her belly?! Watching Lauren go through the birthing process – from the beginning to the moment she delivered – was the most incredible thing I’ve ever witnessed. I experienced an emotion I’ve never felt before.”
The couple had picked out Dutton’s name a few months ago. Chris tells us: [“You can take one guess where we kind of got that from. It’s from the TV show Yellowstone, and we really love the name a lot, but yeah, I know it’s a little different, but I think it’s pretty cool.”]
