A man is walking across the U.S. in a bear costume to help raise money for six different charities and to make an artistic statement.  Here is Jesse Larios, AKA Bearsun when he is in costume, talking a little about why he wanted to embark on this journey.

Residents of a small Colorado town are pleading for the return of a stolen phone booth that served as the centerpiece of a public park for decades.

The booth, in its functioning years, originally sat outside of a gas station, but later became an ornamental feature of Memorial Park when the station closed. The residents said the booth didn’t have phone service, but often drew travelers who would pose for photos.

Here are residents Vickie Cecil and Lanny Payne asking for its return.

Some guy near Toronto was driving around in a red Cadillac last Tuesday night.

And for some reason, he decided to start doing loops in the parking lot of a POLICE STATION.

It was around 1:45 in the morning when a cop saw him slowly driving in circles in the parking lot . . . weaving in between parked cars . . . and flashing his headlights on and off for some reason.

The officer talked to him and told him to stop.  But the guy refused and just kept doing it.

Two cops in police cruisers eventually boxed him in and got him to stop the car.  They arrested him for suspicion of impaired driving but was later released and not charged.

If you’ve been seeing empty store shelves where Lunchables should be, you’re not the only one. A spokesperson for the brand says demand for the products is at an all-time high as they battle ingredient and labor shortages. One sign shared on social media says “Kraft foods has their Lunchables on allocation until 2022. Please know that we continue to work with suppliers to get as much product as possible for our customers but will experience some out of stock until the allocation is lifted.”

The Filthiest Spot in Your Bathroom Is . . . Not the Toilet or the Sink?

A new study has revealed the FILTHIEST part of your bathroom, and it’s NOT the toilet . . . or the sink . . . or the disgusting pile of clothes that your teen can’t be bothered to toss in a laundry basket.

It’s . . . the TOWEL RACK.

The problem is two-fold:  One, researchers say that towel racks are rarely cleaned when people scrub their bathroom.

But they should be, because damp towels are an ideal breeding ground for harmful microorganisms and bacteria.

And two, towel racks and bathroom radiators attract dust, grime, mold, and mildew, which isn’t just unclean . . . it can lead to irritated skin and even illnesses.  Scientists say you should clean your towel racks three times a month.

As part of the study, the researchers swabbed every spot in multiple bathrooms . . . and 60% of towel rails were in the “really dirty” category.  For comparison, just 10% of toilets were found to be “really dirty” and 20% actually tested “clean.”

The second dirtiest spot was sink plugholes.  50% classified as “really dirty.”

Thanks to the Pandemic, Everyone Is Doing “Life Hacks”

It seems like half the internet is preoccupied with “life hacks” . . . even though they’re never as “LIFE-CHANGING” as advertised.

According to a new poll, 69% of people have tried at least one “life hack.”  And of those people, 71% say they’re using life hacks more now than they did before the pandemic started.  Probably because they have more time at home to experiment.

The people who use life hacks say that the tricks save them an average of FOUR hours per week.

The most popular life hacks were those focused around cooking.  54% say they’ve used a life hack in the kitchen.

And 42% of people say they’ve shared their own life hack tips online at some point.

A woman on TikTok has a new hack that essentially makes it so you never have to buy dryer sheets again.  Here is Cary Colón using some sponges and fabric softener to make the DIY alternative to dryer sheets.

Here is Michigan Surgeon Dr. Youn giving body hack tips on getting rid of hiccups, curing a brain freeze, and feeling less pain while getting an injection or vaccine poke.

The Dutch Are the World’s Tallest People . . . But They’re Getting Shorter

If you didn’t know, the Netherlands has been the world’s tallest nation for years.  But the average height for Dutch people is shrinking.

According to a report out of the Netherlands, Dutch men born in 2001 are about 0.4 inches (1 centimeter) shorter than those born in 1980.  And Dutch women are about 0.6 inches (1.4 centimeters) shorter.  (That may seem out of date . . . but remember, 2001 babies are just now at full height.)

Even with these drops, the Netherlands still has the tallest people in the world.  Today’s average Dutch man is 6-foot-tall, and the women are five-foot-seven.

So why are the Dutch shrinking?  It’s partially because of periods of increased immigration, and the children born from these groups. But there are declines even among native Dutch people.  Studies say that could be due to changes in diets . . . increases in weight . . . and “impacts of financial crises.”

Morgan Wallen Did Indeed Donate $500,000 to Black Organizations

“Rolling Stone” got everyone’s attention when they questioned whether or not MORGAN WALLEN kept his promise to donate $500,000 to black organizations.  This was, of course, in response to his racial slur incident.

Well, USA Today looked at written records and talked to Morgan’s manager, and they confirmed that $500,000 is indeed getting distributed.  Some of it by Morgan, and some by his team. He donated $300,000 to the Black Music Action Coalition [BMAC] in the names of 20 people who had counseled him after the incident.  Each had the option of giving it to BMAC or to a charity of their choice. $165,000 stayed with BMAC, and $135,000 went to smaller charities. Morgan’s record label donated $100,000 to Rock Against Racism on his behalf . . . and the remaining $100,000 has been earmarked to be dispersed to Black-led organizations in Tennessee by the end of the year.
