WOOD: Genevieve ‘Jenny’ (nee Jubenville) –

A resident of Chatham, Jenny Wood passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family at her side on Monday, June 4, 2018 in her 89th year.

Born in Jeannettes Creek, Jenny was the daughter of the late George and Mabel (Kelly) Jubenville.

Beloved wife of 70 years to William ‘Bill’ Wood.

Much loved mother of Wendy Deneau (Brian) and Cindy Milne (Ian), both of Chatham.

Proud Grandma/Nana to Janie and her husband Dave Jordan of Oshawa, Jodie and her husband Jason Caron, Rachel Milne and Colin Milne, all of Chatham.

Cherished GG to Kyle Jordan and Apryl Caron.

Jenny was the last surviving member of her family and was predeceased by her siblings Rachael, Orval, Francis, Johnny, Melvin, Geraldine and May.

Jenny was a skilled bowler and had competed in the Ontario Championships on multiple occassions. She enjoyed trips to the family cottage, playing Bingo and Slots with friends and visiting family around the world.

A Private Family Service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date.

Donations made in memory of Jenny to the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Montreal Division would be appreciated.
