McEachran, Norman Harvey – a lifelong resident of Highgate, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, age 92.

Son of the late Norman Roy McEachran and Jessie May nee Garbutt.

Loving husband to Helen Irene nee Smith for 68 years.

Beloved father of Rick and wife Anita McEachran of London, Shirley Gore of Ridgetown, Joan and husband Allan Gosnell of Highgate, and Ron McEachran of Chatham.

Grandfather to Tanya (Mike) Scott, Lydon McEachran, Doug McEachran, Shane (Melissa) McEachran, Jeremy Gore(Liz Bowen), Jessica Gore (Craig Degouw), Nikki Scott (Shawn Jones), Joshua Gosnell, Alicia McEachran (Matthew Lippert), and Justin McEachran.

Great-Grandfather to Bryce McEachran and Braeden McEachran.

Great-Grandfather to Kayleigh, Olivia, Lily, Elaina and Rosalie.

Brother-in-law to Art Keely and Howard (Delores) Smith.

Will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister the late Beatrice (late Eric) Teetzel and brother Ken McEachran, sister-in-law Ruth Keely, brother-in-law Glen Smith, great-granddaughter Kelsey McEachran, great-grandson Ethan Scott and niece Sandra Smith.

Norman was an active and engaged member of the Highgate Community. He served his community faithfully through his involvement with the Highgate Fire Department, the Masonic Lodge – Highgate and Ridgetown, Lions Club of Highgate, Reeve of Highgate, Councillor for Chatham-Kent, member of the Highgate United Church and later Erie St. United Church. Norman worked for C.A. Rankin, KSR as a Foreman, and also owned his own trucking company McEachran Transport.

Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East. Ridgetown on Saturday September 29, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

The Funeral Service for Norman will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday September 30 at 2pm. Burial to follow in the Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate.
