Handsor, Carrie Isabel (nee Johnson) – A resident of North Buxton, formerly of Chatham Township, Isabel passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday April 8, 2019 at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home in her 99th year.

Daughter of the late Harry and Carrie (nee VanDusen) Johnson.

Beloved wife of the late Clarence Handsor (1976).

Loving mother of Marvin (Diane) Handsor, Judy (James) Dudley, Terry (Joy) Handsor, Philip (Margo) Handsor, and James (Dee) Handsor.

Fondly remembered by 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her siblings Eunice Johnson, Archibald Johnson, Aleatha Jones, Marie Strain and granddaughter Michelle Handsor.

Survived by sister-in-law Betty (Don) Prestage.

Missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Isabel was a long-time member of Union Baptist Church, a member of the choir, and a Ladies Aid Auxillary member. Isabel loved to bake, sew, and spend time with her many grandchildren, family, and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview Gardens for their care and compassion.

Family to receive friends on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Union Baptist Church, 10586 Union Line, Dresden from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service for Isabel at 1:00 pm. Burial in Dresden Cemetery to follow.

Donations in memory of Isabel may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham-Kent or to the Union Baptist Senior Choir.
