November 7, 2022 7:58 amTaylor, Catherine Eva (nee Duquette) a resident of Chatham, formerly of Ridgetown, Cathy passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 at the age of 68.
Born in Tilbury East Township, she was the daughter of the late Leon & Margaret (nee Bolohan) Duquette.
She is reunited with her late husband, Brian Taylor (2011).
Remembered always by her two sons, John Armstrong (Candace) & Robert Armstrong (Wendee) as well as her step-children, Lisa Ross (Kevin) & Amy Taylor.
Proud grandmother of Romy, William, Victoria, Brandon & Rena.
Loving sister of the late Norm Duquette, Pauline Smelser (Dave), Linda Chevalier (Vaughn), Dave Duquette (the late Rose), Susan Phelan (Don) & Yvonne Profota (Bill).
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Shoesmith, as well as the staff of Riverview Gardens especially the staff on the 4th Floor, Tracy, Sam, Rochelle, Brooke, Hailey, Melissa, Lali, Tanya, Kayley and many more, for their care and compassion of Cathy. Along with Sharon Coleman of ALS Windsor.
Missed by many nieces, nephews and her dear friends at Riverview Gardens – Norma & Rick. Dear friend of Kora & Marge of Ridgetown.
Cathy retired from over 30 years of Service in the Automotive industry with International Harvester. She was a member of the Ridgetown Royal Canadian Legion and the Catholic Woman’s League of St. Michaels. She enjoyed to paint, play cards and volunteering with many functions.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street, Ridgetown from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. A Funeral Mass for Cathy will begin at St. Michael’s Catholic Parish, at 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow. As per the families wishes, no fragrances are to be worn at the Funeral Home. Face masks are optional.
