Robert Maxwell “Max” McFadden, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Riverview Gardens at the age of 93. Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen (McDonald) McFadden for 70 years (August 21, 2024). Dearest Dad of Don McFadden (Lynda), Mandy Sherman (late George), Debby Jackson (Brian), Rob McFadden (Chris) and Amy Oliphant (Chris). Adored Grandpa of  Jason, Kyle, Chris, Jillian, Kari, Kendra, Rachel, Tyler, Josh, Cody, the late Brittany and their families. Cherished and proud Great Grandpa of Cam, Drew, Sawyer, Caden, Connor, Vienna, Asher, Declan, Charlotte, Liam, Ava and Arthur. Max was the last living descendant of Clarence and Ada (Shaw) McFadden. He is predeceased by his brothers Lyle, Douglas, Garnet, Morley and sister Sara Paling and their spouses. Born and raised on the 8th Concession of Chatham Township, Max farmed all his life, alongside his 3 brothers. He was a loyal and life long member of Lindsay Road United Church and attended faithfully as long as he was able to. A testament to his kind and gentle demeanor. Max will be missed by all who loved and knew him. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff of Riverview Gardens for their care over the last few years. Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
