What Is Your Love Language?
February 14, 2019 1:16 pmDo you know what your love language is? We all have one. Yours might be different from your partners. Many of us tend to give using our own love language. The secret is to find out what your partner’s love language is.
The 5 Love Languages is a best selling self-help book written by Dr. Gary Chapman and has been a best seller for over 20 years. It identifies people’s “love languages,” which helps to reveal truths, insights, and complexities that aim to improve the way you communicate with yourself or your partner.
According to the website, the five love languages ARE –
Words of Affirmation: “This language uses words to affirm other people.”
Acts of Service: “For these people, actions speak louder than words.”
Receiving Gifts: “For some people, what makes them feel most loved is to receive a gift.”
Quality Time: “This language is all about giving the other person your undivided attention.”
Physical Touch: “To this person, nothing speaks more deeply than appropriate touch.”
To find your love language, you need to take the test! You are given 30 statements, and it’s up to you to chose the answer that best suits your personality. It will take about 10-15 minutes, so give yourself some time. When you’re done, you will have everything you need to know about YOUR primary love language and what that means to your life and relationship.
