Would You Quit Facebook?

I admit I spend way too much time on “the book of Faces” as my husband jokingly calls it. Facebook is a time sucker. It’s a positive energy drainer. It can be all consuming.  It can leave you defeated.  Pictures shared by people are almost always the best of the best. Filtered. Shared to only highlight the best of moments.

Yet, we reach for it daily.  We start our morning scrolling our news feed like our parents read the morning paper. Looking for something.  But what?

What are we GAINING and what are we GIVING UP?

I love feeling connected to family and friends. I love being able to easily share pictures and daily events with those closest to me.  I love that Facebook has brought people into my life I probably never would have met. I was thrilled to reconnect with my very best friend from child hood and from high school.

But for all the positive – it can bring a lot of negative into our lives too. Right?

Facebook celebrates 15 years and with it – a bit of a guide on why it’s both good and bad.

Be warned. It’s not that easy to give up Facebook.

Here’s what you need to know to finally walk away from Facebook.
