Loved This Movie
June 18, 2019 1:55 pmI decided to watch a movie last night. It was one of those rare occasions when I had the TV to myself, and it wasn’t too late (the older I get the harder it is to make it through a full movie if it’s after a certain hour – lol).
I saw Jennifer Aniston on Ellen DeGeneres recently talking about this new movie she was in – on Netflix – with Adam Sandler. Murder Mystery.
Normally, I stay away from Adam Sandler movies. The humour is just not “my thing”. Sometimes. Happy Gilmore was pretty funny. But I can only handle the stupid comedy for so long before I give up. But Jennifer Aniston, she is one of my fave actresses. Since the days of Friends, though she doesn’t always have the best roles in the best movies.
This movie was different. It was like the game of Clue brought to the big screen. A classic “who dun it”. Someone dies suddenly at the hands of someone else and it’s a case of who did it?
It was easy to follow, easy to watch. It had it’s moments of the old Adam Sandler stupid humour, but it fit. It’s nice to see him get away from that type of role and be taken a bit more seriously.
Essentially the movie is this – “A New York cop and his wife go on a European vacation to reinvigorate the spark in their marriage. A chance encounter leads to them being framed for the murder of an elderly billionaire.”
If you’re looking for a fun movie, full of humour and intrigue, you might like this. It kept me guessing.
