Everybody Has A Story
August 22, 2019 3:15 pmEverybody has a story, and the best way to feel understood, and feel connected to others is to share your story.
A documentary about an Ohio auto glass factory made it’s debut on Wednesday on Netflix. It’s the first project backed by Michelle and Barack Obama’s new production company.
American Factory was shown at the Sundance film festival and filmmakers Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert say they were pitching the film to Netflix, when they were told that the Higher Ground production company was interested. They had no idea that Higher Ground was the Obamas.
Steve and Julia live in the Dayton, Ohio, area where Fuyao Glass replaced an abandoned General
Motors plant. They say they are not trying to deliver a political message. They just wanted to be a voice for the people.
I love this.
