Movie Opening This Weekend Has Petrolia Connection

Watch close, because one of the locations used to film the movie was The Fairbanks House, a well-known Victorian mansion in Petrolia. Built in the 1800’s, it has 22 rooms and is also known as Sunnyside Mansion. John Henry Fairbank was one of Canada’s first oil barons. His family has pumped oil on its Oil Springs property since 1861.
Pretty cool, right?
The movie stars Zoe Margaret Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris and Gil Bellows.
A group of kids try to figure out the reason behind several deaths in their small town.
The film, based on a series of books with the same name by Alvin Schwartz.
