MUST WATCH – Michelle Obama – Becoming

I went to watch my favourite show on Netflix right now – Schitt’s Creek – and realized I had reached the end.  All five Seasons on Netflix.  I watched them all.  There’s a final season which got the show so much attention around the world, but it’s not available til the fall.  I’m heartbroken.

David – ewwww.

Oh my God! I don’t even know what that means.

Another show that got into my heart and I’m going to have trouble letting go of.

So instead of my favourite disfunctional TV family, I searched out Becoming.

For almost two hours, I was glued to the tv screen.

According to Netflix –

Becoming is an intimate look into the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House. The film offers a rare and up-close look at her life, taking viewers behind the scenes as she embarks on a 34-city tour that highlights the power of community to bridge our divides and the spirit of connection that comes when we openly and honestly share our stories.

You guys, it was so good!

I already thought she was a positive influencer.  I think she is classy and elegant. Smart. Funny.  She leads with her heart.

All I can say is I want to be more like Michelle Obama.  You see how she grew up.  The family who raised her. You see how she grew to be who she is today.

She is funny and smart, and has this way to connect with young girls.  To show them their true power.  To encourage and motivate.  To inspire.

Simply amazing.

In a dark world, it’s important to look to people who will encourage in a positive way.  To inspire positive change in the world and in ourselves as individuals.

Class act.

If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend – Becoming is a must see.  Followed by Schitt’s Creek.  You can thank me later (smile).
