New Music This Week – Forest Blakk “If You Love Her”

New music this week on the Fox from Forest Blakk.  The video, directed by James Fitzgerald stars Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, Dublin Murders) and Caoimhe O’Malley (Dublin Murders, & The CW’s Reign).

Forest grew up in Montreal, spent time in Florida and Jamaica, and first learned to play guitar (gifted to him by his grandmother) as a way to escape a difficult life at home.  His mother struggled with addiction and his stepfather was a notorious drug dealer.  They moved around constantly and he found himself on and off the streets after his stepdad went to prison.

After moving to Calgary at the age of 21, he formed a band that later earned a JUNO nomination.
