The View From Here – Who Needs More Positive In Their Life?
April 7, 2021 4:10 pmWe knew the announcement was coming from Premiere Ford. We knew it wasn’t going to be good. (Been there. Done that).
We have all had enough of the pandemic and enough of the lockdown. But to me, taking care of others is important. So I started thinking of sports. Which is odd, because I HATE sports. All things sports. (smile)
The way I see it, in the world of sports, when a team is losing the game, they call a time out, huddle together and make a plan to win. They come together. United. Strong. Determined. So, I’m thinking, like it or not, we have to find a way to do that. Come together strong like the community we are.
The way I see it, we are all players in this game. And it’s the bottom of whatever, and now is when it counts. This is it. Crunch time. Now is when we need to step up and shine, and prove that we are stronger together and we do care about each other.
Even if we cut our own hair, and the roots are showing and our eyebrows are way out of control. (desperate times/ desperate measures)
Even if we can’t finish a stupid puzzle. (when did those pieces get so small and complex?)
Even when some of us refer to the cast of tv shows as friends and family. Schitt’s Creek, New Amsterdam, Grey’s Anatomy – my peeps.
Even when we sit and stare blankly out the window for hours at a time, because there’s just nothing else to talk about anymore and we’re forgetting how.
Even if we’re not always smiling.
I know. It’s a LOT.
But the vaccines are coming and I really believe we’ll be out of this soon.
And when we make it to the other side, I am having a huge 80’s themed 50th birthday bash in the fall and you are all invited.
And we’ll celebrate making it through the darkness.
Until then I challenge you to – let’s do our part. Let’s stay home unless going out for essentials. Let’s keep supporting those businesses that need us in any way we can.
And most importantly – let’s be kind to each other.
