Let’s Go RED! New Taylor Swift Out Today
November 12, 2021 12:11 pmMake sure you’re listening through the afternoon for tracks from Taylor Swift’s new (old) album.
I still get excited about new albums, especially when there is so much excitement around it. Just released – at midnight – Red (Taylor’s version).
I’ve been listening to it all day. Track by track. Absorbing the lyrics. Swaying to the music. So easy to get lost in the songs.
Fans are loving it and critics are too.
I think she’s brilliant and oh so talented and inspires by being true to herself. Standing up for what she believes. Fighting for herself and her voice.
It’s been a bit of a battle for her to get here. To take control over her own music. Red is a rerecording of her acclaimed 2012 album “Red,” as part of her ongoing mission to take back ownership of her early music.
The original album was 16 tracks. This new version? 30 tracks. Featuring collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Chris Stapleton. It includes nine previously unreleased songs that didn’t have a chance to make the final cut in 2012. AND, it has a ten minute track. The way it was ORIGINALLY intended to be. You can thank Taylor’s mom for helping to see that through. (see the video below)
A mini movie of sorts to go with the song is set to be released tonight at 7pm.
The first single to be released to radio? Message In A Bottle. You can watch the video here and let us know what YOU think of the song. TEXT us 519-464-1999 and tell us if we should add it to our playlist.
And even more excitement for Swifties – Starbucks has teamed up with the star. You can ask for “Taylor’s Latte” or “Taylor’s Version” when you order and you’ll get Taylor’s favourite drink: a grande caramel nonfat latte. Launched to celebrate Starbucks holiday red-coloured cups and the re-release of the Red album.
So fun.
