Taylor Swift 1989 – Are You Ready For It?

Taylor Swift has released another rerecorded album with five new “vault” tracks.  “1989” (Taylor’s version came out today and Swifties are going nuts over it).

Earlier this year, Taylor said that this collection was her “most favourite re-record” to date because of the “insane” vault tracks. There are five previously unreleased songs on this new collection.

In a message she shared to social media to celebrate the release, Taylor writes –

The original album was released exactly nine years ago on this date in 2014. It earned 10 Grammy nominations in 2016 – winning for Best Pop Vocal album and Best Music Video for “Bad Blood”.

In 2019, Taylor announced she planned to re-record her first six albums to reclaim ownership of her own music. So far she has released “Taylor’s Version” albums for “Red”, “Speak Now” “Fearless” and now “1989”. Still waiting on 2017’s “Reputation” and her 2006 self-titled debut album “Taylor Swift”.  No word on when that might happen.
