NEW MUSIC! The Beatles – Here And Now –
November 2, 2023 11:04 amYou guys. You have NO IDEA how excited I am to be able to share this.
Just released — Here and Now. It’s a brand new single from the Beatles. I know what you’re thinking. But how?
It started when a few tapes were found by Yoko Ono of the late John Lennon. The remaining Beatles – Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison knew they needed to finish the song. Technology made it near impossible in 1995. But with the help of today’s technology – we now have what they are officially calling the LAST Beatles song.
I’ve seriously got goosebumps and tears.
As someone who grew up listening to all kinds of music, one of the first records I remember listening to and dancing around the living room with as a kid – was The Beatles. My mom loved music and she loved the Beatles.
I grew up listening to all kinds of music and I have always loved the Beatles. We studied their music in elementary school. I remember having the lyrics to Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane and more and studying the meaning. At the time it was a fun project. Looking back, I’m guessing my teacher was a fan of the Beatles.
That is how my love of the Beatles started. There was just something about them and the music that drew me in.
Over time my record collection grew. There is just something so special about putting the vinyl on the record player and getting lost in the music. I’ve always imagined what Beatlemania must have been like.
I’m not sure what it is about the Beatles but I just love who they were as a band and as individuals.
I’ve listened to the music and I’ve watched the documentaries. I’ve been fascinated. I love getting to know the artists as people. Who they are and where they come from.
John Lennon was brilliant, but troubled. His life ended tragically. Shot and killed by a deranged fan. He was imperfect, absolutely. Talented. For sure. So unfair he was taken far too soon. I have been fascinated by him for so long. How odd to have such admiration and respect for someone you’ve never met.
Paul McCartney as well. Amazing talent. His ability to write music is impressive. Hey Jude probably my favourite to listen to, mostly because it reminds me of my mom and she used to sing it a lot around the house. Her name was Judy so I’m guessing she loved it more. (smile)
I got into this business because of my love of music. To sit here today with a new Beatles track in my hands and get to share that with the world feels pretty amazing.
My heart is beating so fast right now. I’m so excited for this.
Wondering – what do YOU think? How would you feel about us playing a brand new Beatles song this afternoon? I’m excited at being given the chance to be the one to play it for you and even more excited about hearing it on the radio speakers.
Beyond words emotional.
