This Day In History – The IPhone Was First Introduced

Do you even remember what life was like before the smartphone?  It’s hard, right? It was this day in 2007 that Steve Jobs came through on his promise when he said that Apple was going to “reinvent the phone.” and introduced the iPhone to the world.  Bringing together Apple’s previous inventions.  The iPod, the internet and camera.

When it became available for purchase in June of 2007, it retailed for $599 US for the 8GB model.  Apple would sell a million iPhones in the first 74 days.

It’s hard to find anyone these days who doesn’t have a smartphone to their name.
