“With Love, Meghan” Is Just What We Needed
March 11, 2025 10:30 amYou guys – have you watched “With Love, Meghan” yet? It’s on Netflix. It just came out last week. I watched the entire season in one night. It was THAT good.
I couldn’t turn it off and I’m not alone. It just gives you that feel good feeling we all need. So many people are saying “this is the show we never knew we needed”.
It’s calming. It’s joyful. It’s peaceful. It’s the break we need from a world that feels heavy and dark.
Meghan shares recipes and entertaining tricks. We see her in the garden, harvesting honey, making candles from the beeswax for the very first time.
Time slows down, the pace is slow and it’s a bit of magic that gives us all a little hope, inspiration, kindness and love.
She brings in friends and shares different meals. She makes spaghetti in one pot. She makes a delicious honey lemon cake that the world is making now. She shares the simplicity of making preserves and donuts, and going the extra mile for people you care about it. With her little touches, her jars and labels and oh so beautiful handwriting.
She is inspiring people all over the world, including myself. People are making recipes shared on the show and sharing it online and it’s got Meghan’s attention. She is loving the positive effect it’s having on so many people. And it’s true. There’s a whole Meghan movement that is happening. We want to grow gardens and plant flowers and vegetables, and make beautiful veggie trays, and rainbow fruit trays, and sit in the garden and have tea parties.
I am loving some of the comments I am seeing online –
“…the urge I have to live like this every weekend, basically, living a fantasy to escape this harsh world we live in. this is the escapsim we all need frankly”
“Never heard of sun tea before Meghan’s show, now I wanna try it. Also, the one pot spaghetti? Genius. Lavender towles? So easy! Get this princess five more seasons.”
“I am so delighted with it! She is a treasure!… some thoughts… where the heck do I get those flower sprinkles. I want bee hives in my garden. I definitely need more Le Creuset in my life. There is such joy in simple pleasures. Gardens make you happy.”
“Meghan isn’t supposed to be relatable. If she were, Netflix wouldn’t be making a show about her – she’d be in your group chat venting about parenting teens and late Amazon deliveries. I’m not watching to see myself. I’m watching to escape, gawk, and live vicariously. She’s in a whole different league. Relatability was never the assignment, people.”
It’s so true. I honestly didn’t expect to like it. I’m not sure I wanted to. But I did. And I’m super excited to see that it’s already been renewed for a second season, coming to Netflix this fall. I can’t wait.
As for the inspiration? I made my own croutons last night for our caesar salad. Instead of the usual rush and mad pace over dinner preparations, I slowed down and took my time. If I had flower sprinkles I just might have used them (smile)
Have you watched the show? What did you think? Did you have a favourite recipe? Something you can’t wait to try?
