Norah Jones and John Legend have come together for their first-ever collaboration on the new single “Summertime Blue”. Two of the most distinctive voices and highly decorated artists of our time, singer-songwriter-pianists with a combined 23 GRAMMY Awards between them including wins for Best New Artist.
John Legend says “Ah, what a perfect way to start the summer! I’m so honored to be part of this beautiful record with Norah. Her voice, soul and musicianship, her graceful presence, are all undeniable. I’ve been a fan for so long. I’m so glad we could finally collaborate.”
Rob Thomas has a brand new album coming. His sixth solo album All Night Days, Rob shares songs about living life to the fullest. The album is his first release on Universal Records and will be available on all platforms September 5th.
To kick off the album, Rob brings two tracks that show the different sides of the album. The first single “Hard To Be Happy,” paired with the intimate acoustic b-side “Thrill Me.”
You can pre-order the album, including signed copies and exclusive color vinyl, here.
About the song “Hard To Be Happy,” Rob says:
“I wanted to write a song that felt happy. More than ever, we live in a time where personal and mental wellness can become a focus in your life. For that to happen, it needs to be acceptable to say, ‘I’m not happy right now; I don’t feel comfortable in my own skin.’ The song itself is very no-filler. It shows, ‘It’s alright to be unhappy,’ but it’s wrapped up in a happy tune. The message is, ‘I’m going to be fine, but leave me alone for this second!’
About the new album, Rob says – “I hope you see yourself in my music,” adding “The great songs I listen to are the ones where I’m the hero of the story in my head, even if I don’t know the writer. There are a lot of ‘Saturday Night’ and ‘Sunday Morning’ songs on All Night Days. Maybe one of these tunes becomes a part of your life.”
After a two year break from the spotlight, Lewis Capaldi is back with “Survive”. After two years away from the spotlight, global superstar Lewis Capaldi today makes his extremely welcome return with new single ‘Survive’ – a bold, brave new anthem that underscores a challenging period in his career, that ended at Glastonbury 2023 in an extremely tough, but special unifying moment as the Pyramid Stage crowd helped carry an emotional Capaldi over the finish line.
“Most nights I fear that I’m not enough, I’ve had my share of Monday mornings when I can’t get up” sings Capaldi in a huge, hair-raising and brutally honest track that addresses mental health challenges of self-doubt & despair, but comes out swinging in a chorus full of defiance – “I swear to God I’ll survive, if it kills me to, I’m gonna’ get up and try, if it’s the last thing I’ll do”
