Camp Rock 3 Is Coming

Squeal.   It’s now getting real.  Camp Rock 3 is in the works and filming right now in Vancouver, British Columbia.

I for one, am more excited than I expected.  Camp Rock – the first two movies – were introduced to me by my oldest daughter.  She watched them over and over and I really loved them.  I loved the idea of it.  The girl working in the kitchen, part of the staff at this Camp Rock, the one nobody notices turns out to be the one that steals the show and wins the guy.  It was my first introduction to the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato who I had seen in other Disney shows.

What do we know?

Four people have been confirmed to come back to their original Camp Rock roles.  Joe Jonas as Shane Gray.   Kevin Jonas as Jason Gray.  Nick Jonas as Nate Gray.  And Maria Canals-Barrera as Connie Torres, Mitchie’s mom.  Mitchie was the character played by Demi Lovato.  We’re still not sure if she will be IN the new movie but she will be one of the executive producers of the film, alongside the Jonas brothers.  I mean, how can we have Camp Rock 3 with the Jonas brothers but no Demi Lovato?  We loved her character.  Mitchie HAS to be back. She just has to.

And yes, there are new people joining the cast.  Eight newcomers.

So many questions.  Like, what is this movie going to be about and how are the characters going to fit in?  According to Disney:  “The story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances.”
