For all of us Gilmore Girls fans – this is for you!  Grab your coffee and get ready because there is a Gilmore Girls documentary in the works!  It’s called Drink Coffee, Talk Fast, and takes a look at the magic and how it turned so many people into fans of the show.

I am so excited to see that there is a documentary in the works about our favourite show.   I admit, I was late to the party with this show, but my daughters and I bingewatched all six seasons in a short period of time, and then had a little party as we watched the year in a life follow up with all the favourite Gilmore Girls foods.

What to expect in this documentary?

You’ll see interviews with Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore) — plus Jared Padalecki (Dean) , Chad Michael Murray (Tristen), Keiko Agena (Lane) , and more.

Before you get your hopes up- NO.  Lauren Graham (Loralei) is not part of it.  Alexis Bledel (Rory) hasn’t said yes either.

No release date just yet, but it’s expected sometime soon.  Girlmore Girls just recently celebrated the shows’ 25th anniversary so hopefully it comes before the month is over.

Yes, there really was something so magical about the show.  The quick conversations.  The endless nods to pop culture.  The theme song.  Luke’s coffee.  The mother/daughter relationship.

The world needs a bit more Gilmore Girls in it.

Super excited for what’s coming.

In the meantime — here’s some fun ways that you can celebrate the power the show had on us.

“Drink Coffee, Talk Fast is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. or the producers of Gilmore Girls.

Donations at different levels result in varied awards recognizing the contributions. A small contribution can get fans cool swag including sticker packs, t-shirts, and early streaming access. More sizable contributions can score donors unseen content, signed posters, and even things like an associate producer credit and invitations to an in-person screening in Los Angeles.”
