John Candy: I Like Me
November 10, 2025 11:50 amI watched this this weekend and want to encourage you to watch it too. It’s a glimpse into the life of the man, the legend, John Candy. The one that made so many of us laugh out loud. Such a funny man. So many great movies to remember.
What I didn’t know was the price of fame. The way he was judged by his weight. The cost of wanting people to like you.
It was beautiful to see him on camera, in old interviews. To see how he started. To see how other people who knew him well, viewed him. How much people loved him. But also to see how he was hurting in so many ways. Grieving his dad’s death from an early age. You see him as a caring and compassionate individual who loved his family.
His death shook the industry and left a void that will never be filled. What a wonderful tribute to such an iconic individual. You can watch the documentary “John Candy: I Like Me” on Prime.
