We’ll Miss You George!
November 21, 2025 6:00 amThis week has been a tough one. Emotionally. As we’ve prepared to say goodbye to our morning show host George Hayes.
We have been doing all that we can to make this week special for George. We’ve put up with his jokes with less eye rolling and more fake laughter than normal. (smile and I kid)
Today is the last morning show with George Hayes and we hope to show our appreciation, gratitude and thanks with a special send off celebration at Global Donuts & Deli. We hope to see you there. Please stop by between 6am and 10am.
It’s been a whirlwind of a week. Lots of reflecting and thinking back on so many years with the Fox team working together.
We’ve looked back on George’s career – did you know he started in radio by working for FREE at a station in Woodstock? Then on to St. Thomas and Leamington. Working in marketing and sales along the way, until his journey brought him to the Fox morning show.
Decades of so many incredible memories. Working vacations. Yes, George got to go to Sandals a few times and I may still be a bit upset that some of us were left behind. (smile)
So many concerts. Community events. World events. A pandemic.
But along the way, incredible listeners who have shared the journey and made his career memorable.
A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share memories, messages and video. It makes it a little easier to say goodbye.
As part of the celebrations, we reached out and asked a few people George has met along the way to share a message for George.
Col. Chris Hadfield has a message for George.
Brittlestar offered his congratulations and witty comments.
And so did the Wealthy Barber David Chilton.
The bottom line, and maybe we should have found a way to throw it on a spreadsheet – (smile)
We’re going to miss you George. Hopefully you miss us a little too. (smile)
