Movie Monday – Oh.What.Fun.

After a busy weekend of getting everything decorated for the holidays — the Christmas tree up and decorated, decorations throughout the house, some shopping done — I took some time just for me and sat down and watched a movie and this one did not disappoint.  Ladies, if you feel like you’re doing it all – this movie is for you.

Oh.What.Fun.  Is such a great movie!  I really enjoyed it.  The premise? “Claire plans a special Christmas, however, she is forgotten by her family. When they finally realise that she is missing, their holiday is at risk until she returns to give them the celebration they deserve.”

It reminded me of the Home Alone premise, where everyone is so busy they forget Kevin and accidentally leave him at home.

This?  Claire is a super busy mom who takes care of every detail. She’s always doing something for someone else.  She is control of everything for the holidays – the food, the shopping, the dinner, the entertaining, the hosting, the gift giving, the wrapping.  Every detail falls on her shoulders and even though she seems to love it, she wants someone to acknowledge that she is the glue of the family.  She is the one who keeps everyone happy.  She is the one who has everything under control.  She just wants someone to enter her in a contest to win a trip to a tv show.  But sadly, nobody listens to what she wants.  She’s so busy taking care of all the things, and doing things for everyone, nobody notices when she’s not there.

Really cute movie.  Highly recommend.
