A Love Letter to Snowstorms (Unfortunately)

Oh good, it’s snowing. What a treat,
My favorite time to lose my feet.
The sky’s like, “Hey! You had a plan?”
And winter’s like, “Not anymore, man.”

The wind shows up to yell at trees,
And slap my face with icy peas.
My car’s now wearing a frosty hat—
Cool. Love that for it. Stunning, nat.

The driveway’s buried, thick and deep,
So I’ll just shovel till I weep.
A workout? Sure. A “winter glow”?
Yeah… it’s sweat, and tears, and mild despair, though.

The roads are slick, the sidewalks lie,
And everyone forgets how to drive.
One inch falls and people scream,
Like snow’s a horror movie theme.

And don’t forget that special sound:
The plow goes RRRRR right by your house
At 4 a.m. like, “Rise and shine!”
Then dumps a mountain. Super kind.

But hey, it’s “pretty,” so they say—
As I crawl home in grim ballet.
So here’s to storms that flex and prance,
Turning simple errands into tragic romance.

Snowstorm, you chaotic frozen clown…
Please kindly melt.
Sincerely,
Everyone in town. ☃️😤
