Superbowl 60 – Bad Bunny And Some Great Ads
February 9, 2026 12:23 pmI will never love watching football. There. I said it.
Just being honest. I try to love it, especially for a big game like the Superbowl. But I don’t understand it no matter how hard I try.
But once a year I give it my best shot.
What did you think of yesterdays game? Were you happy with the outcome? I pretty much got two right out of our online big game prop bet list — but I’m good with that.
What did you think of the halftime show with Bad Bunny? I’ll be honest – it was hard to get into because I didn’t understand a word he said. I loved the energy and the vibe and the story he told with the performance. We get a glimpse into Puerto Rico. The community. The spirit. The culture. The struggles.
And even if I didn’t understand a word of what Benito sang, I loved the overall message. Bringing people together. Believe in yourself. And maybe most important? “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
There was a real wedding and so many surprise guests including Ricky Martin, Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and Lady Gaga who performed a Latin version of her hit song “Die With A Smile” and ended with a little salsa.
For those wondering what he said at the beginning of his performance — the translated version is this “My name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, and if I’m here today at Super Bowl 60, it’s because I never, ever stopped believing in myself. You should also believe in yourself. You’re worth more than you think. Trust me.”
